Chapter 7

"Hello Phil I'm Violet I will be your therapist" The young lady said

"Hi" I said shyly

"No need to be nervous, now why are you here?" She asked

"My best friend Dan passed away a few months ago and I just can't seem to let go." I told Violet

"This happens a lot Phil it's okay" she said with a reassuring smile

"Tell me about Dan" Violet said while flipping through pages till she came across a blank one.

"Well he is the most amazing person I've ever met and he would just look at me a certain way and it made me feel like I was really alive and that someone really cared about me." I told her truthfully

"What do you miss most about him?" She asked

"His laugh" I said trying to hold back tears

"It's okay to cry Phil" Violet said while handing me the tissue box

"When the doctor told me Dan was dead It felt like everything was falling apart" I spoke with tears rolling down my cheeks

"Why did this have to happen? Dan was so young." I asked Violet

"People are like flowers some stand tall with beautiful colors while others fade away" Violet said

When The session was over Violet told me she had an idea.

"I want you to write a letter to Dan and next Thursday we will tie it to a ballon and let it fly up to him." Violet said

"Okay, And thanks" I said before leaving.
