The last battle: Part 1

Sarge and his men were searching through the Japanese camp for there men. The layout of the place is quite simple. There is 10 Japanese little huts and in the middle of the camp is the captains headquarters which is where they think they're being held. The place had a muddy ground and some trenches near the front and the back of the camp. On the ground was some wood planks to walk on but some areas didn't have that and was slippery. There were lots of huts but to be safe they searched the whole camp.
       "You find anything pvt?" Sgt Rhode asked
"No, nothing yet sir" pvt Hall said
"Okay, but keep looking" Sgt Rhode said
They looked through all the huts except the captains headquarters. So now they were all heading there.
"Alright this it time to see if our boys are here or not." Sgt.Rhode said
"321"Sgt Rhode said
Then there was a kick and the door flung wide open
"All clear" sgt Rhode said
"What where's our boys?" Pvt. Daniels asked
While everyone was talking about where they could be and if they missed a hut pvt.Monty had found something...
"Hey uh guys over here!" Pvt Monty yelled at them
"What is it?" they all asked
Monty pointy to the hatch in the ground it had a lock in it and blood stains around it. When they opened it up it was dark so pvt.Hall took out his lighter and lit one of the candles on the table and went down into the dark hole under the hut...
"Ahh I can't see shit, Hall shine the light"Pvt Monty said
"Let me get down here first I think I can see some lanterns. Once I'm down there I'll light them." Pvt Hall said
Once pvt Hall was down there he started to light the lanterns, soon the underground bunker was lit up with light from the lanterns. Hall saw several dead U.S. soldiers in piles. But in the wall he saw 5 U.S. soldiers instead of 4. A few moments later they were all down there.
"Hey look at this sarge, there's 5 men not 4."pvt Hall said
"Him, I don't know him." Sgt Rhode said
Pvt Hall walled over to the soldier who sarge didn't recognize. All the soldiers had there hands hung up like a cross but on there wrists were chains to keep them up. They had blood on there face looked beaten. Soon sarge realized that the 1 out of the 5 soldiers had died. Pvt Heffley was the soldier who had died. Sarge woke the soldiers up after they had been asleep for hours before they were found. Once they woke up one soldier stuck out in particular. Once sarge got a good look at the soldier he realized it was his brother. On his brothers shirt it read "Pvt Rhode"
"What the, what the hell are you doing here little brother?" Sgt Rhode asked
"I've been lookin for you, big brother. I was on the tank. The one that got blown up. I was in the back." Pvt Rhode said
"How did you enlist you're only 16? And why did Mom and dad let you?" Sgt Rhode asked
"Well one night I told them I was going to enlist to find you and they both said no. Well we got into an argument, and that night around midnight I snuck out and went to enlist. I got to the place to enlist around that morning and they did t check any of my stuff because they needed people to fight." Pvt Hal said
"How did you find me, and know what squad I was in?" Sgt Rhode asked
"Well when I got in the place I started asking people if they knew anybody with the last name Rhode. Well one guy named Jimmy said "Yea I know a guy with the last name Rhode, his name is sgt Rhode" well when they pointed me to you one day I knew it was you. So I followed you I even snuck on the tank. Well anyway when the tank got shot up and blown up it knocked me off it. I was the first they captured, then Johnson, Thortan, and then Heffley. He went out a fighter tho. Killed 2 japs before they got him once they got him here they shot him up." Pvt Rhode said
"And him who is that?" Sgt Rhode asked
At that time sarge has pointed the other guy laying on the ground with a cut in his head and it was bleeding but not bad.
"That's lieutenant vandal, he was here after us. He was with another group actually that is or was his group. They killed all of them one by one until he finally answered questions that they needed. One was the location of an outpost not far from here maybe 3 or 4 hours away. Anyway apparently he just wants to kick some Japanese ass." Pvt Rhode said
"Hey, that outpost was the one I was rescued by, they saved me from drowning. And the japs got there and killed them all everyone there." Sgt Rhode said
"I'm sorry to hear that brother." Pvt Rhode said
They hugged each other and both said they missed each other so much. A little bit later the lieutenant woke up.
"Wha the, who the hell are you?" Lt.Vandal asked
"My name is sgt Rhode. And I'm guessing you're lieutenant vandal. Right?" Sgt Rhode asked
"Yea that's me and why the hell do you care?" Lt. vandal said
"Because, I came to rescue my men and found you. So long story short, I hear you can kick some serious ass, and really like to. So can you help us fight off the small Japanese coming right now as we speak?" Sgt Rhode asked
"Yea I'm up for the fight." Lt. Vandal said
"Good now get up and get a rifle" sgt Rhode said
Lt. Vandal got a rifle out of the small armory the outpost had. Sgt Rhode and the rest filled up on more ammo for there weapons and the other men that they rescued got some to.
"So how much longer do you think we have till they got here?" Pvt. Rhode asked
"I don't know they should've been here by now." Sgt. Rhode said
"Hey, Johnson and Monty, go walk around the outpost and keep watch see if you find anything." Sgt.Rhode said
Yes sir they both said. While the two Rhode brothers and the rest of the group were rearming there selves with weapons from the armory, Joseph and Monty were out in the woods. It started to get dark and Monty asked Joseph if they could start heading back.
"Hey it's getting dark we should head on back"Monty said he sounded kinda nervous like he someone was watching him
"Okay, let's go" Joseph said
They were about 30 minutes away from the camp. They started to walk back, but heard something in the woods...
"Hey did you hear that?" Monty asked
"Yea, ur sounded like someone stepped on leaves and broke a stick." Joseph said
They saw something move a person...
"Come on out nice and easy where we can see you!" Monty yelled
Monty had and M1 Grand, while Joseph had Thompson machine gun. The person in the woods came out, but it wasn't one person it was 16. They were apart of the marines.
"Who in the hell are you?" Joseph asked
"My name is Sgt. Moore, we're from an outpost about 5 hours away from here. To cut this conversation short, I'm looking for somebody. His nam is Sgt.Rhode. You know him?" Sgt. Moore asked
"Yea we know him. Why you need him?" Monty asked
"That's none of your concern, but I'll tell you if you lead me and my men to him." Sgt.Moore said
Joseph and Monty agreed to take Sgt.Moore to Sgt.Rhode. So Moore told them why he needed to see Rhode.
20 minutes later back at the outpost...
"He sarge, you're gonna wanna see this" Joseph said
Rhode walked out of the captains headquarters and saw Moore and his men
"Hello Sgt.Rhode" Moore said
"I'm sorry, I was t expecting to be working with."Sgt. Rhode said as he was cut off
"To be working with a black soldier? Well that's okay my name is sgt.Moore I'm from the outpost that saved you." Moore said
"What that's impossible, the Japanese soldiers that were here in this outpost went there and killed everyone in it." Sgt. Rhode said
"Not everyone. You see my captain, the one that rescued you. Told me to get a group if 16 men, including myself, and to get as much ammo and weapons as you need, and leave. He knew that everyone there would be killed, but he didn't want everyone to die. He tried defending the place as best as he could." Sgt. Moore said
"And you were okay with abandoning your men and the captain?" Sgt. Rhode asked
"No of course not, I argued with him about it but, he won the argument. Said "that was an order now leave" so I did as I was asked." Sgt. Moore said
"So why are you here now?" Sgt. Rhode asked
"Because we knew that the Japanese soldiers would come back and, you wouldn't have enough men to fight back. They'd kill you instantly." Sgt. Moore said
"Okay, So you and your men are gonna he'll fight?" Sgt. Rhode asked
"Yea we will. But quick question where's the enemy? We saw them coming this way hours ago." Sgt. Moore asked
"I don't know, we've been waiting here for hours. I think it's been a day already. Wait it's already been a day." Sgt Rhode said
" what's so bad about it already being a day?" Sgt.Moore asked
"My plane home leaves in 48 hours." Sgt Rhode said
"Okay, So that means we've gotta hurry with this, have you tried listening to the radio? It's just a Japanese frequency meaning we can here what they say." Sgt. Moore said
"Okay, Joseph turn in the radio." Sgt. Rhode said
"Yes sir" Joseph said
Joseph turned in the radio and they all heard a Japanese soldier taking
" enviar ataque de artillería a estes coordendas, nueve, uno, tres, ocho, dos, cero." Japanese soldier over the radio said
"What the hell did he just say?" Monty asked
"Wait, nueve, uno, tres, ocho, dos, cero. He said 9,1,3,8,2,0. Those aren't just random numbers those are coordinates." Moore said nervously
All of a sudden they heard two big guns go off, they looked out toward the sea and saw a big Japanese artillery ship.
"Holy shit, everyone run out of the outpost NOW!!!"  Sgt. Rhode yelled
Everyone grabbed there weapons and ran, as the artillery shells were hitting the the outpost, many men were dying. As Sgt.Rhode was running out, he'd seen people crawling without legs, people trying to hop out of the camp with only vine leg, and people dead all around. The once quiet, low lit outpost, was now nothing but a fiery pit of screaming and death. There were now massive craters implanted into the ground of the outpost. Some had dead body's in it, others had limbs from dead body's.
"Holy fuc- what the hell. Is everyone alright?"Sgt.Rhode asked 
Ugh Yea I'm good Joseph, Moore and the rest of his group said.
"Alright lemme see who we're missing, Hall? He's not here, must be dead. Daniels? "Here" great. Monty? Monty? Anybody seen Monty?" All of a sudden they heard choked breathing and a little bit of whimpering "he- hel- help m- m- me" Monty said then he fell and died from blood loss, because his arm was blown off during the artillery strike. 
"It's a shame, he was a damn good soldier. Let's continue, little brother, Pvt.Rhode? "Here" Good. Johnson? "Here" Johnson said crying over the fact that his best friend was dead. Pvt. Thorton? "Here" Good. Vandal? "I'm here" great. Alright almost everyone is here." Sgt. Rhode said
They all started to walk back into the outpost, it was hard to watch. There was just dead body's everywhere, there friends, brothers protectors, dead just laying there in the mud. Blood and fire everywhere.
"Alright clean this shit up." Sgt. Rhode said
At that moment Pvt. Hall walked out and said "I thought you guys were dead." Yea we thought the same thing Joseph said "Alright now that we're all here, well not all of us but most of us, we need to clean this place up Alright." Sgt Rhode said
As they were cleaning pvt Hall yelled out "we're under attack!!"
"Oh shit" Lt. Vandal said
Everyone heard it and grabbed there weapons and ran to cover. They had about a hundred maybe even more soldiers coming at them. Pvt Hall, Joseph, Thortan, and Moore were in the trench at the front of the outpost they had M1 Grands and Sgt. Moore was in the mounted Mg42 mowing down lots of them. Some of the Japanese soldiers still ran at Moore and the rest of them and there was limbs flying off like legs, arms heads and other parts like fingers. It was a bloody mess but they deserved it. While Moore and the rest of them were taking out a good bit, Rhode, his brother, vandal, and Daniels were in the middle of the bad in the armory getting mines to put around the sides and back of the base that way if they tried to come those ways, it'd alert the group.
"Shit, there's to many of them we need to fall back out of the trenches and regroup with the rest of the group." Joseph said
"No, not yet. We need to stay I can get the rest of my men to come in the trench with me." Moore said
"No we need to fall back!" Joseph yelled at him
"Guys stop arguing we can get the rest o" Thortan was cut off because a Japanese soldier had gotten into the trench while they were arguing and not paying attention and stabbed him with a bayonet. He fell on the ground, Moore grabbed his B.A.R machine gun and shot up the soldier.
" I I'll st st stay beh behind, y'all go I'll c co cover you, just g go." Thortan said struggling to speak and barley breath
"No, no I won't leave you" Moore said
Joseph touched his shoulder and looked at him a certain way in the eye.
"Fine, but we'll come back, with all my men." Moore said
They looked back and he could barley stand, but he grabbed the mounted Mg42 and started shooting. He took down 2 Japanese soldiers before getting shot twice in the chest and falling to his death in the mud. Since no one was left in the trench it was quickly over run by Japanese soldiers.
"Fuck, they took the main trench." Lt. Vandal said
They were taking out a good bit of soldiers but they kept coming.
"Hey sarge are you sure that all these men are from this outpost, because this is A SMALL FUCKING ARMY!?!?" Lt. Vandal asked
"The boat." Rhode said
"What?" Vandal asked
" the boat that sent artillery strikes on this outpost, it must've dropped soldiers off." Sarge said
"Why is this place so important to them?" Vandal asked
"I don't know but it must be important." Rhode said
Soon it was all of them in the middle of the back in the middle of the outpost. There was 23 of them against 200.
"This is it men, it's all or nothing." Sgt. Rhode said
"We need give em hell, give everything we got to them." Lt. Vandal said
All of a sudden they heard something loud, they looked over a little barrier they had that they were hiding behind and saw a tank.
"Holy shit, it's a tank" pvt Hall said
Lt Vandal looked over and saw 2 sticky bombs laying on the ground
"I know how to stop it." Lt.vandal said
"How?" Asked Joseph
"I take these 2 sticky bombs and blow the piece of shit up." Lt. Vandal said
No they all said
"Are you crazy? The only way to do it is to get close to it and the tank is past the trench. You'll die before you even get past the trench." Joseph said
"That's why Daniels here is gonna take that Mg42 laying on the ground over there make a distraction." Lt. Vandal said
"No, it's too risky and I don't want you to die. We need you lieutenant" rhode said
"I'll help Daniels, there's another mg over there." Pvt Rhode said
"No, no way. I'm not gonna let you die baby brother."
"Don't you remember what we're all about? No mission too difficult, No sacrifice too great, Duty first." Joseph said
"Fine, but you're not going little brother it'll just be Daniels." Sgt Rhode said
As Daniels grabbed the mg and ran to the left side of the outpost, and he laid down suppressing fire. While vandal ran to the right side of the trench hiding behind barriers, all he carried with him was his Colt M1911 with 2 clips. There were 3 japs running his way and he killed all 3, when he got to the tank he pulled off the casing that kept sticky stuff on it and pulled the pin  he threw it on the tank, it blew up but it was still working when he pulled the casing off the second one and pulled the pen, when he reached his arm back to throw it it got stuck on his sleeve and he couldn't get it off. So he got on top of the tank and opened the hatch and jumped in it...
"Here goes nothing, I'm coming in!!!" He yelled
Then there was a huge explosion and the tank was done for. But Vandal was dead...
