Chapter 3

I stood at my usual spot to survey South Park,it was a building in the middle of this mountain town,which was also the perfect place to do my job

"HELP!!!"

'Well I guess the town needs me more than I thought' I hop onto another building and to the way where help was needed,it was a jewelry store being robbed

Cops were outside and the robber has a hostage with him as he threatened them that he'll kill the woman if they dont give him what he wanted

"Sir,please let go of the hostage and surrender peacefully,we dont want to do this the hard way"a cop says through a microphone as the others pointed their guns at the robber

The robber shot a bullet at the ceiling as dust falling off from it 'cause of the impact with the people inside the shop shrieking in fear with some screaming

"SHUT UP,IVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU-" as the robber continues to talk about what he wants,I slowly crept towards the back door of the shop with a small click but with all the noise outside,it wasnt heard

"Psst,"I called to the person nearest to the door in a whisper which was a girl,as she look towards me,she had a sigh of relief as I put a finger on my lips,signifying her to be quiet as she did

"Thank you"she whispers as the other people slowly went out of the shop through the back door,the last one was a guy who looked really scared and panicky

When he was just a few feet close,he accidently stepped on a broken glass from where the jewels were formerly(what?is that a word?) stored,'causing the robber and other cops to notice

"WHAT THE-"before he could finish,he shot at us as I push the guy out of the shop before flipping on the other side 'HA,IM SO COOOL LOL'I put on a smug face which pisses the guy as he shot more bullets at me which I succesfully dodge

I ran as fast as I could to him and plan to do a punch but failed as he elbowed me on the face as I stumble back on my bottom with my nose sightly red

'Well this is bad,people will definetly figure put that their beloved unknown hero,Mystic,is me' Mr.Robber points a gun at me with the hostage still in hand "well I guess its bye bye for you now hero" he smirk as I smile with my eyes closed and head down

"Yes,you guess"I look up at him with a confident smile as he shot me

"Seriously,I thought I told you that I will be the one to save the town"an all familiar voice says,stood infront of me was the douche that prefered to be Mr.Lonely,the person that would rather work alone

"'You thought'"I repeat as he sighs and puts me down "I told you to leave the saving to me,you could have gotten yourself killed"he argues

"well I didnt,plus you're not the boss of me,and what if it was you who got killed?doesnt that makes no difference between us,you saved me as I had predicted anyway"I stood up and cross my arms with a smug look on my face as he facepalms

"Seriously,you dont know..."he trails off as I look at him with confusion written all over my face,he shook his head side-to-side as to say to nevermind it "whatever,just go home or something,I'll deal with this" he says getting into a fighting stance,I furrow my eyes brows at this and put my hand on his shoulder

"Then something it is"I say cheerfully,also getting into stance "you kids gotta stop playing with me"the robber says annoyed "oh screw you" I flip him off,he growls at this in anger and pushes the hostage away while putting both hands on the gun while shooting at me

I dodge it but got hit on the sides a few times though but it was nothing serious,Mysterion,on the other hand was completely forgotten by him for being distracted by me

This gives him an advantage to creep at the robbers back as he slides him of his feet,the robber fell back and groans at the impact of his back hitting the floor as he drops the gun

The cops came in and arrested him for his crimes and some helping the hostage into the ambulance to check her injuries  'well that was easy' Mysterion and I also went out of the shop to see the people I helped earlier being interrogated by the police with some being checked for wounds and such

"Well then,it was nice working with you,Mysterion so let me tell you this now,I will never stop being a hero,even if it kills me,I'll let you know that Im not just an ordinary human"I say crossing my arms with a proud look on my face also with my chin held up high in a funny way

He snorts "well you're not the only one,I cant die"he says while also crossing his arms as I look at him with an eyebrow raised as he continues "you're injured,I suppose it will just magically heal on its own as if nothing happened since you're not going to the hospital or something?"

I nod my head "yes,yes it will,I ask you not to make a joke of it since Im not 'not telling the truth'"I quote with my fingers this time it was his turn to raise and eyebrow "well,I believe you since I am also telling reality"

I nod my head again "then prove it"I demand as he shook his head 'no' "no can do,if I do it,you wont remember" he states as I put on a thinking look before writing on a piece of paper that just magically came into my hands

I hand it to him as he reads it "'Mysterion dies' with your signature on it" "yup,you go home and put it anywhere where anyone wont find it,then you come back and meet me at Stark's Pond where you will die,if you dont do it,then it means you dont actually have a power"I explain

"What if I dont want to do it because it hurts?"he ask as I shrug "uggh fine,meet you there in 15mins" he says before leaving as I head to Stark's Pond

Mysterion POV

I head back home and climb through the window quietly to not wake anybody up,I neatly folded the paper and put it in the drawer before sighing and going back outside to Stark's Pond

After walking a few minutes,I finally made it with a gun in my hand

"Hey"Mystic greets as I arrived in her view as I return a wave before aiming the gin on my head as I took a deep breath before pulling the trigger as she watched intently

I woke up on my bed with the sun rising up the sky,I calmly open the drawer beside me to actually see the note from last night still there

'Well I guess Im meeting her tonight then'
