Addy ran up to the restaurant, stopping quickly to check herself in the window. She sighed, knowing hat what she saw was as good as it was going to get.

"Sorry I'm late." She said, kissing her mom and her dad on the cheek before sitting.

"It's fine, Addison." Her mother said, her tone saying that it really wasn't.

"Lilian still isn't here, so it's alright." Her father piped in, winking at Addy while her mother read the menu.

She smiled back at her father, she couldn't understand why her father had married her mother. They were so different that it didn't make any sense to Addy.

"And you could have dressed appropriately, this is a nice restaurant." Her mother added.

Her father stiffled a laugh as Addy rolled her eyes.

"I appolize mother, I didn't realize that breakfasts as a black tie affair."

Her mother clicked her tongue and was about to lecture her when her sister came in. "Lily bear!" Her mother exclaimed, jumping up to hug Lily. "See Addison, your sister took the effort to dress up." Addy looked at her sister, she was wearing a pink Chanel dress that made her look much older than 24.

"Hi daddy." Lily said as she kissed her father on the cheek before sitting next to Addy, hugging her quickly. "Where's Alexa?" She asked.

"She's at nursery school." Addy said, surprised that her sister noticed the absence of her niece.

"How was Europe?" Her father asked Lily once she had settled in and they had all ordered.

"It was amazing, I had so much fun." Lily kept talking but Addy stopped paying attention. She knew that this trip would be all her sister would talk about for months, so instead she focused on the coffee cart that passed.

Her sister prattled on for a while, talking some sort of nonsense when Addy zoned back in.

"He asked me to marry him and I said yes!"

Addy choked on her coffee, "what?" She said, rather loudly.

"Lily, this is amazing news!" Her mother squealed, jumping up and hugging Lily.

Addy and her father exchanged a look. Lily was very much like their mother, whereas Addy and her father understood each other. She could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't as happy as her mother about this surprise, but she also knew he wasn't going to say anything about it.

"Lil, I'm not so sure this is a great idea." Addy said, slowly.

"Addison Grace!" Her mother said whipping her head to face her. She did not look impressed and Addy quickly shut her mouth.

"No no Mom, it's alright, it is all rushed, but I know it's for real, Addy's just looking out for me." Lily said smiling at her. Addy smiled back, she knew it was true. She's always made it her job to look out for her little sister. "I was hoping that you would be my maid of honor?" Lily, talking to Addy now. She had the look on her face that Addy knew she wouldn't be ble to say no to. She nodded reluctantly and forced a smile when Lily hugged her.

"Well, this has all been fun, But I have to go pick up Lex from school, so I'll be off." Addy gathered her purse and slide her leather jacket on.

"Can I come with you?" Lily asked, slipping her own coat on.

Addy shrugged, "If you'd like, I guess."

They hugged their parents before leaving, waving at them as they got in the town car. There were stars in Addy's eyes as the paparazzi snapped pictures of the family leaving together. The men with cameras shouted out the girls names, wanting them to pose for some good shots.

Addy put her sun glasses on, "Lily, I don't have time for this. I need to go."

Lily nodded and shooed the men away. The girls walked down the street together and Lily linked her arm into Addy's.

"Do you think Lexie would be my flower girl?" Lily wondered.

"I'm sure she would." Addy said, pulling her sister down the last street. They made it just in time and Alexa's teacher brought the children out to the parents as soon as they got there.

"Mommy!" Alexa said, running up to Addy and hugging her. Addy wrapped her arms around her sweet four year old.

"Are you going to say hi to auntie Lily?" Addy prompted.

"Hi auntie Lily." Lexie said, shyly, Addy nudged her forward to hug her aunt.

Lily got down to Lexie's level, "Hi sweetie! I have a present for you." The allure of a present caught Lexie's attention. Lily reached into her purse and pulled out a delicate wooden fan.

"I got it in Greece." She said as she showed Lexie how to use it.

"Are you alright?" Addy asked Lily, surprised at how her sister was acting around Lexie. Lily wasn't known for being good with children. In fact, Addy was certain that Lily hadn't held Lexie when she was a baby.

Lily shrugged, "I'm fine." She said,

"Good thing you don't play poker, Lil, you've always been a terrible liar."
