The purchase was small, I gave away a smile, I said I would not feel and the brutal days of dysphoria came uninvited and without a knock wrapped me into it's gruesome hold.

I admit, I am weak.
I admit, I weep.

But how long can you wait for the faith to unfold into flowers, pink, pastel, pleasant blooming flowers.

I check the door every morning to see if he has unlocked the cage, where he has kept himself.

It is like he is punishing himself but with me.

Is he ashamed?  Or he is tired?
Because I am. Both.

I erased the stains of a single tea cup from the table. I want to know when would this end.

I have no passion in me to start all the fights again but no burden is placed on a soul it cannot bear.

I shook my head angrily.

The shine of the clouds weeped with me this evening, the morals of the night crushed the bitter Galaxy, gradient layers of little diamonds spread across. I could count them on my fingers here. One. Two. Three. Four. Five.

Scarce, everything is so scarce in the City.

I ate my dinner alone. Another long Day has passed. I survived. I cried.

The silent footsteps proceeded towards me.

"Al-Souffian? " my eyes attended his face.

"Ladyship can we go out? " he said in a breath.

I stood up and hurried for the keys and I settled my hair with my hands.

I wiped away my tears.

I'll be strong, I'll be strong for you.

He sat in the Car, front seat.
I sat in the driver's seat.

"You cannot drive? " he uttered blankly.

"I can" I answered cautiously.

Fragile, like he was Fragile.

He ditched the vehicle and walked on, his foot towards the barren streets. In the darkness. I saw the traffic signals on the street, Yellow then Green.

He crossed the road recklessly, I screamed his name recklessly.

"Al-Souffian listen! " I said catching up to his speed.

He was walking with his hands at his back, speeding aimlessly.

He moved his head around.

"What do you want?  Al-Souffian? " I asked running madly in circles around him.

"please, listen. Al-Souffian! " I yelled.

He was unaffected.

At last "Where is the drug store?" he asked with a dry voice.

My hands supported my knees, breathless and tired. Exhausted.

"To the left" I answered in comprehension.

He raced inside, I followed him.
He looked at me "They do not have cigars? "

I stamped my foot.

"Buy cigarettes " I said. I did. I could not believe but I suggested the idea.

He bought an expensive packet of cigarettes and marched on the streets.

"Can you stop running" I exclaimed.

"I am walking " he stated.

Back home, I sat on his bed.
Under the leather fragrance and the smell of cigarettes.
I pierced my eyes into his.
