Chapter 8

"They shouldn't have come" I mumble as the man drops my head, suddenly there's a crash and I could hear men yelling, but everything was blurred, I could see a blue figure approach me and everything went black once again  

Korra POV 

I broke the chains of Asami, and I picked her up, she looked bad, her lip was cut, she had blood going down her face, she was unconscious, her jaw is starting to bruise 

"Get back here Avatar" one of the men yell 

"Sorry bud but this is mine so back off" i hiss at him as I go into avatar state, and they all run away, I fly up using air bending and go out a window, I make my way to the nearest hospital and I walk in with Asami in my arms in a bridal style and people look at me in fear 

"Look please don't be scared I just want to help, this is the missing girl Asami, I found her but she needs medical attention" I ask them so they come towards me and pick her up carefully 

"Please help her" I beg and tears forming in my eyes but I push them away, I ran out before the police could find me 

I went home and became korra again, I knew there was no way I could go there as the Avatar

I ran back and there was loads of media companies around the hospital, I suddenly became self conscious of my arms and I pull my sleeves down, I slip into the hospital, and make my way to the desk 

"Hello how may I help you" the receptionist asks 

"Hi I'm here to see Asami sato, you see her father is in prison and her mother is dead, So I'm her friend so I thought she might want someone" I explain nervously to the lady 

"Ok she is I'm ward 3" she says pointing the general direction, I make my way there and I walk in, she was all wrapped up but she was unconscious, I grab a chair and I pull it beside her bed and I start to talk to her 

"Hey Asami its me, I'm sorry for getting you unit to this, when I ran into you I fell in love, I came to you hurt and you helped me, so I want to thank you but I'm going out of your life so you can be safe, and I'm sorry for lying to you, I had to keep my secret to keep you safe, you were at risk, my point was proved when the men captured and tortured you, but I love you and I will always protect but the only way I can is leaving, I will be gone in a week time" I say to the unconscious girl

I got up I left the ward and went home 

Asami POV 

I slowly open my eyes to the sound of machines beeping, I sit up, and rub my head as my visions clears 

"Uh where am I" i say aloud but no answer, I look around, and then I realised I was in a hospital 

I look around adapting my eyes to the new surroundings and I start to hear something, it's korra's voice but where is she, I close my eyes and I focus on her voice 

Hey Asami its me, I'm sorry for getting you unit to this, when I ran into you I fell in love, I came to you hurt and you helped me, so I want to thank you but I'm going out of your life so you can be safe, and I'm sorry for lying to you, I had to keep my secret to keep you safe, you were at risk, my point was proved when the men captured and tortured you, but I love you and I will always protect but the only way I can is leaving, I will be gone in a week time 

She leaving to protect me, ugh this is all my fault, I shouldn't have sent her away

I pull the tubes out of my arms and I get out of bed, I look down at myself, my leg was in a cast and my hand was wrapped up,

"Great" I mumble, I went to my clothes that were piled up on a chair and I got changed from the hospital gown I was wearing 

Once I got changed to walked out, I saw a pair of crutches so I grabbed them and I made my way out only to find, the media littered all over the place and they all start to approach me 

"Are you any better Ms.Sato" 

"How did the avatar know where to find you" 

"Is the avatar a fugitive"

"Do you know anything about the avatar" 

"Please stop" i yell at the people asking me questions and they all just stare at me "thank you for your concern, I'm fine, the Avatar saved me yes, I don't think it's fair the way benders are treated it's not there fault there born like that, especially the Avatar, that person was even given a choice wether or not they wanted to protect the earth, but they had to, so I think the Avatar is a good person and I want to thank them for saving me" I finish and I walk away leaving everyone stunned, I kept walking to the park and I took a break and a big white dog runs up to me 

"Aw hey big  guy are you lost" I say as the dog jumps onto my knees, I look at it's name tag and on it there was korra's name 

"Wait your korra's dog" I say the big white creature which now was barking at me 

"You want me to come" I say getting up and following the dog,

Time skip arriving at korra's apartment  

I knock on the door and it slowly opens I and see korra's face peeps through the door and she freaks out and slams the door but I block it with my foot 

"Korra please I'm not here to yell at you" I beg as pull the door open and she is no where to be seen 

"Please go away it's my fault your hurt I should have never come near you" she says from somewhere in the room 

"You coming into my life was the greatest thing that ever happened to me, I was so blind to not see that you wanted to protect me, so thank you" I say into the apartments, it had a punching bag in the middle, the furniture was plain, a lot of it was pushed to the walls, there was door which I assume was for the bathroom, there was a counter and an oven and a mini fridge, I felt bad for her 

"You mean that" she says walking out of the door 

"Of course I'm so sorry please forgive" I beg as she approaches me 

"I do but this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't of seen you" she says pointing at my cast and swollen lip 

"I don't care" I say walking closer to her, the shorter girl froze and wouldn't look up at me 

"I'm so sorry" she says her voice cracks

"No you don't need to" I say lifting her head up, but she won't make eye contact 

"Please look at me" I say was tears form in my eyes 

"Fine" she mumbles making eye contact 

I didn't even think about what was about to happen.

I kissed her, she kisses back, we pull away and I could finally see light in korra's eyes, she was happy 

"I love you" I whisper 

"I love you too" she says and we kiss again 

Hey guys this is my story, I will right an epilogue don't worry after this I will turn this into one shots, I really hope you guys have enjoyed this book I really enjoyed writing it, please leave any requests for me I would love to do them
