The secrets i keep

A girl should not have to keep secrets
Especially from her parents
Whether it's what she got on a test
About her friends
Where she's hanging out
Her dreams
Her feelings
The second side of her.
But in this household
I do nothing but lie
To make my parents less worried
To make them not hate me.
I might be full of negativity
On the inside
But on the outside
I'm perfectly happy
And agreeing with everything.
I don't want to live a lie anymore.
I was raised not to lie
