Hollywood Sunshine: Part 1

I couldn't help but smile as the wind wiped my hair around the air. It was a beautiful day for a drive. I stuck my hand out of my convertible 80s mersaidies.

"Here I am Hollywood!" I shouted.

I drove around a curve in the road and soon can to a stop light. I looked to my right and saw a beautiful beach with white sand and blue waves. I looked to my right to see a guy pulling up to the red light in a yellow jeep.

As if he felt my gaze he looked over and locked eyes with me. He was pretty good looking. He was well built wearing a dark blue t-shirt and jean shorts.

I smiled at him which made him smirk. We both turned out heads at the same time and a few second later the light turned green. I put my foot on the gas a spead away.

I looked in the rearview as I turned down a street. I could see the same yellow jeep behind me. Weird. I hope I don't have a stalker.

I laughed to myself. Your crazy. You over think things to much. Talking to yourself is proof enough.

I stuck my hand out the window and waved it around in the wind. It felt nice. I felt free.

You are free. I laughed and shot my hand in the air "Whooooow! Freedom!!"

I ran my hand throughout my hair. It felt so good to be free. It felt so good to be away from home. If you can call it that.

No. I'm not going to go there this is me time. This is free time. Its time to leave the past in the past.

I pulled up to the parking lot of the beach. I saw Jules' red mustang a few spaces down. I pulled my car next to hers.

I pulled my white sunglasses off my nose and put them on my head. I grabbed my bag out of the passenger seat and got out.

I spotted Jules walking down the path to the beach "Jules!" I shouted and waved my hand at her.

She smiled and waved "Grace!"

I ran to catch up to her. "Hey." I said as I started walking by her. She gave me a warm smile and gave me a side hug as we kept walking.

"Is Jason here yet?" I asked as my foot hit the warm sand.

"Um. Yeah. He said he parked in a different lot." she explained.

"Oh... I'm so excited to see him it's been like...  Forever!" I exasperated.

"Yeah." she said shyly. I knew that shy stuff wouldn't last long. Once she saw Jason, she would run to him like a mad woman.

Just As I predicted she saw him and took off in a sprint. I saw her jump on him and wrap her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist.

I smiled at that. As I was about to start walking I heard someone's voice behind me. "They make a cute couple don't they?"

I turned to look where the voice came from. It was the guy in the yellow jeep from the stop light. I stared at him wide eyed.

"Yeah they do." I looked away. Then with a deap breath I awkwardly started walking to them.

"Hey baby bro." I said to Jason as I walked up to him and gave him a bear hug.

I was standing on my tip toes with my arms around his neck. "Hey sis. Missed you." he mumbled.

I let go of him and took a few steps back when I heard someone clearing there throat. I turned my head to see who it was. This guys crazy.

I furrowed my brows "Dude. Are you following me?" I asked in a joking way even though I was totally serious.

"Um. N-No. I'm just kind of curious why your hugging my best friend." he said awkwardly while scratching the back of his neck.

My eyes widend as I looked at my brother. "This is Shane?" I exclaimed.

"Suprise!" he said. I furrowed my brows at him. This is confusing he didn't mention him bringing Shane. I don't have room for him in my apartment.

"You didn't say he was comming. I'm gonna have to figure out sleeping arangments now... Wait is this your surprise?" I asked.

He scratched the back of his neck while he spoke "Not exactly."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "What is the surprise then?"

"I'm moving to Hollywood!" he exclaimed.

"Oh my God! Really!" I said jumping up and down. I jumped at him and gave him a bear hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I exclaimed.

I had been trying to get my brother to move to Hollywood for a while now. He lives two hours away and I never get to see him. Not to mention Jules lives here too.

I just love the sight of them together. Jules has been my best friend since I moved to Hollywood. Every time Jason came to visit those two would get closer and closer. It was only a matter of time before they got together.

"Yeah I'm moving in with Jules." he spoke.

I turned to Jules to give her a hard look. "You knew." my eyes widend in realisation "That's why you've been avoiding me!" She nodded her head shyly.

Jules was terrible at keeping secrets. She would always tell me everything. Its no wonder why she has been avoiding me for the past week. I couldn't blame her now. She helped make it so much better by keeping it a surprise.

I walked up to her and gave her a hug "Thanks so much Jules." I pulled away and she's looked at me confused. I laughed at her expression. "You made this so much better by making it a surprise." I explained.

"So you're not mad?" she asked slightly shocked.

"I was when you were avoiding me but now I completely get it!" I exclaimed.

A few hours later we were all spread out on the beach. Shane was taking pictures of Jason and Jules for them. Jason and Jules were posing in that love like couple way, and I was bored out of my mind.

I guess Shane had enough of taking pictures so he headed over to me. He Sat down on the towel next to me. Jason and Jules started heading over to us.

"Hey man. When do you wanna look for apartments?" Jason asked Shane.

"Wait. You're moving to Hollywood too?" I asked while I plopped up on my elbows.

"Yeah. Jason convinced me it wad for the best... Aparently I needed to 'get out of that hell hole' according to Jason." he stated.

I nodded my head in agreement. "Hey don't you have that extra room inn your apartment?" Jules questioned me.

"Yeah. But I don't know if you'd be interested..." I trailed off.

"Well if you don't mind I can come check it out and maybe we could split the rent." he suggested.

I shrugged my shoulder "I don't see why not." I smiled.

"Alright then if we're done here let's go!" Jason beamed.

We all nodded in reply. I grabbed my towel and shook it off. I pick up my sun screen and put it in my beach bag with the towel. Then I slipped my feet in my sandals and started walking to my car.

New room mate... Yay?

I'm bad at this so I'll keep it short and sweet...
