You wanted to run away, but your legs didn't move. Looking at Oikawa was painful but you couldn't help but gape at him from the distance.

When he pulled back from the girl's lips, he smiled.

"How did it feel?", the blushing girl asked.

"Good", Oikawa replied shortly and the stranger walked away in the different direction than you were standing.

Your mind went blank as you realised what just happened.

"Volleyball is the most important to me", you recalled the words which Oikawa was saying so confidently just yesterday.

So what was that?

The chocolate haired boy turned around and stopped when he saw you.

Your eyes met and you felt a big wave of emotions overflow your body.

You wanted to say something but the boy was faster.

"[Name], it's not-", he wanted to explain, but you interrupted.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have seen this", you said impassively, desperately trying to hide the grimace growing on your face.

"Let me explain", Oikawa insisted nervously.

"You don't have to explain anything to me", you clenched your fists. "Who am I for you to explain yourself?"

"[Name]...", Oikawa whined imploringly.

"I-I feel kind of sick", you said and started shaking, feeling at the verge of crying. "I won't be going to the practice", you added with a breaking voice and ran away, leaving the confused boy behind.

You didn't understand anything. Who was that girl? She was wearing your school's uniform so you knew that she was a student, but what else? Was that Oikawa's girlfriend?

But why didn't he say that he had a girlfriend then?

Was she the reason Oikawa rejected you?

But he said that volleyball...

Suddenly you felt the tears forming in your eyes.

He said that volleyball was the most important to him.

Then why?

Why did he lie to you?

You were full of surprise, sorrow, and fear.

But the emotion which was dominating them all was jealousy.

You've been dreaming about kissing Oikawa for infinite number of times; about feeling his touch on your skin, about his bony hands and soft lips. And seeing some other girl taking them from you so effortlessly - it made you want to explode.

You knew it was too much for you to hope for and you also knew that there were girls who Oikawa probably considered prettier and who he would kiss more willingly but knowing and seeing that were two completely different things.

And being aware of the fact that you will never be satisfied hurt more than anything else.

"Oikawa, do you know what happened to [Name]?", Iwaizumi's worried voice woke Oikawa up from a reverie.

The boy had frustration written on his face, but he answered quietly:

"She didn't feel good".

What the hell did he think he was doing? He was so lame. So selfish. Doing it wasn't worth seeing your painful expression.

But right now, it was too late.

It would never be the same again.

After you changed into the sports uniform, you stepped towards the gymnasium where you could already hear some of your teammates voices, even though there was still some time before the morning practice would start.

You decided not to mention what you saw yesterday ever again. You were telling yourself that it was because Oikawa would feel uncomfortable talking about it, but the truth was that it was you who wouldn't manage to talk about it without crying.

As the practice lasted, you observed all the boys playing, noting their mistakes and progress they've made. But somewhere in the middle of the training you started spacing out.

You looked at Oikawa who was now preparing to serve and your insides melted.

No matter how hard you were trying to stop liking him, you couldn't do it.

It wasn't only his damn pretty face, long eyelashes, messy chocolate hair, tall posture, bony palms, and muscular body. It was also his intelligence, his funny side, and, above all, his passion for volleyball, which you admired and which were keeping you in love with him.

Just how the hell could you give up on such a perfect boy?

"[Name], watch out!", you suddenly heard Yahaba's alarming voice and before you could react to it, somebody appeared in front of you, bucklering you from the ball which was flying in your direction.

"Oikawa-san, are you alright?!", Kindaichi's worried voice clashed through the hall.

You were looking dimly at Oikawa kneeling in front of you with his back turned to you.

He was holding his shaking hand. Near the knuckle of his middle finger was flowing a small drain of blood.
