It was the first time I heard him call me by my nickname. It sounded special.
Wait.
I'm supposed to be mad.
"You think calling me like that would soften my heart?"
"I did that so I could get your attention. And it worked."
"Wow. Congratulations."
"Riley..."
"And now you're back on calling me by my second name."
"I'll buy you a new one."
"What? No thank you."
"Then can you afford one?"
Oh right. If my parents find out about my glasses, that would be trouble.

And now we're here inside an optical shop.
"What can I help you with Sir and Miss?" A lady approached us.
"We're here to buy new glasses for this lady right here," he said pointing at me.
"Oh, for your girlfriend then?"
"I'm not his gir---"
"Yes please."
I glared at him.
"Miss. We have to do some check up with your eyes." The lady said.
"Oh okay then."
I followed her and did the thing that was supposed to be done.
I was looking at the glasses that were displayed when suddenly someone tapped me.
"Here it is Miss." The lady from awhile ago said.
"I ordered a pair of eyeglasses Miss. Not contact lens." I corrected her.
"I told them to get you that." Seth inserted.
"Eyeglasses are fine for me you know."
The lady was watching us as we gave electrifying glares to each other.
"Fine." I surrendered as I grabbed the contact lens from the lady and walked out.
"Hey! Wait up!" He called out after he bowed to the lady who assisted us.

We were on our way to my house. He forced me to let him drive me home.
Weird guy.
"Do you even know how to use those things?" He asked.
"I've already tried wearing one a long time ago."
.....
"You look prettier without glasses though."
"Shut up. I don't need your compliments."
"I was being hon---"
"We're here. Thank you for these contact lens by the way," I interrupted before he could finish what he was planning to say.
"You're welcome. A little gift from me to you." He smiled.
Wait. That sounded familiar.
