That night is the first night I actually made friends. For the first time ever I had friends who didn't think of me as some creepy goth girl. I had a small smile on my face as my friends parked by my apartment complex. I got out and waved goodbye, promising that I would eat lunch with them tomorrow. I walked in the door of my apartment and for once in my life had a peaceful sleep.

I walked into the double doors of the school and sat down in math. I never realized till today that Kori, was in my math class. I waved at her and she sat next to me. "Hello Raven." Kori said and pulled out a notebook and a pencil. "Hey." i said and got out a notebook, pencil, and my favorite book. " I was wondering friend Raven, if you would like to go shopping with me after school, I really need to spend time with a girlfriend." Kori asked her eyes full of hope. "Sure." I said and Kori brightened up like a little kid on Christmas morning. "Glorious!! I will drive us to the mall in my car." Kori said as the bell rang and class started.

I sat down at the table closest to the window with my new friends. They all smiled at me when I sat down, Garfield got up and sat down next to me. "Hey Rae Rae whats up?" Garfield asked setting his tray down and eating cheese pizza. "I really could use some vegetarian pizza right now!' Garfield whined and put his pizza back on the tray. "Come on Gar I know you want some delicious meaty pizza!" Victor said jokingly waving a piece of pepperoni in front of his face. "Gross dude! I can't believe your eating animals, what would you feel like if you were those animals?' Garfield asked with shock as Victor downed the whole slice and Garfield fainted on top of me. I sighed and pushed Garfield off of me, and he looked at me with a goofy grin. "Whats wrong Rae Rae you look upset." Gar said, I looked around at his other friends and they were talking amongst themselves. "Nothing." I said. "So I heard Kori say that you were going to the mall with her after school." Gar said nudging my arm. "Yah, I don't like shopping but at least there's a book store near here." I said with a small smile. "So I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out some time, you know just you and me. Maybe Friday." Garfield said rubbing his hand against the back of his neck. I was a little surprised. "You mean like a date?" I asked sheepishly. "I was hoping." Gar said and blushed a deep red. "I would love to." I said smiling. After that Garfield brightened up and hugged me. At first I was shocked, I never gotten hugged before. "I see your not a hugger." Gar said and pulled away smiling. "I like that." He said wiggling his eyebrows like an idiot. I just rolled my eyes and the bell rang. Before I could leave however Garfield took my hand and smiled. "Call me." He said winking at me and then walked into the sea of students making there way out of lunch. I opened up my closed hand and found a scrap piece of paper with his number on it. I smiled all the way to seventh hour.

I made my way out of the double doors of the school and looked for Kori. She surprised me by walking up behind me and looping our arms together, like we had been friends forever. "My car is a red sports car. My dad bought it for me last year." Kori said as we walked up to a BEAUTIFUL sports car. "It's beautiful!" I exclaimed looking at the bright red paint job. "I know Victor went crazy when I showed him the car, he LOVES cars." Kori said getting in the driver side. I slipped into the passenger door and sat on the leather seat. "Ready?" Kori asked. "Yep." I said and Kori started the car pulling out of the school parking lot, we were on our way to the mall.
