The once shinning sun took a intermission as clouds moved in.

Not the big puffy, happy clouds; but the dark and ominous ones. Ones signaling chaos.

A spring day began to look like a winters one.

The chapel stood proudly against the darkening skies. Its old white siding glowed as the winds picked up.

Noticing the change of events, a man at the door turned to alert the couple; however, he met the devils eyes and paralysis rooted him in place.

Something was about to happen, he thought. Something way above his pay grade.

Though, he may not even see his pay check.

Vibrations shot through the ground as Adeline's fury erupted. Her hair whipped around and her hands clenched; nails biting in.

Flicking her hand, the guard flipped over the railing. He let out a yelp as the rose thorns dug in.

Adeline didn't waste time and kill the man, for he was irrelevant. The thorns would have to do, she thought.

Another flick of the wrist flew open the doors. A resounding thud echoed as the guests turned and gasped.

She was here; the devil incarnate.

No one dared step in her path as she walked up the aisle, staring him dead in the eyes.

His body was ridged with fear evident in his eyes.

The usual glee Adeline felt when she saw her target tremble was missing. Nothing could take over the blazing inferno, not even a cool dose of sadistic pleasure.

"A-ada-" she held up a hand, causing him to pause mid sentence.

She looked him over, took in the scene, and felt a new wave of emotion take over. Her throat burned, but she just tilted her chin up.

Her eyes snapped to the woman in white, to her perfect eyes, to her perfect hair, and to her perfect silhouette.

She was an angel.

Adeline was the demon.

And good was always chosen over bad.
