Hundreds of parents crammed onto the platform as they kissed their kids goodbye. It was a crisp September morning. Some mothers were running around, trying to make sure their children didn't forget anything. Meanwhile, Harry Potter sat alone in a compartment, waiting for Ron and Hermione to finish with their prefect's duties. "Well, here's the start of a new year" Harry thought, "Maybe this year I'll be able to summon some of my Gryffindor courage and ask Malfoy out." Harry had been crushing on him ever since he saw him enter the Yule Ball in those stunning emerald robes that complimented his pale features perfectly. But alas, as the years went by, the animosity between the two had just grown. Suddenly, the door slid open. "Can I sit in here, everywhere else is full" a timid, yet oddly familiar voice had asked. Harry gasped as he looked up; Draco Malfoy was standing right in front of him, asking if he could sit with Harry. "Oh my god, stay calm, don't say anything stupid", Harry thought. "Yeah, sure", Harry said, trying to act nonchalant (but failing miserably.) "Thanks" Draco said quietly. "What, no clever retorts from you?" Harry asked. "No, not today, I'm not feeling very well" Draco replied. The two of them sat in silence for a few moments, occasionally stealing glances at each other. On the occasion that their eyes would meet, the two would start blushing furiously, and look away. Suddenly, Draco broke the silence, "Look, I know I've been an arse for the last five years, but I can't take it anymore. I like you." "What?!" Harry sputtered. "I know you probably will never feel the way that I do, but I just needed to get that off of my chest." In shock at hearing that declaration, Harry fainted onto the ground. "Harry!" Draco screamed. Draco levitated Harry onto one of the benches, and sat across from him, distraught. "I knew he'd take it badly, but I didn't think that it would be this bad" Draco thought. "What if he doesn't want me? The blonde sat dejectedly as he tried to think of a way to make Harry forget him, when suddenly he heard murmuring from the other side of the compartment. "Stop...please..no...don't hurt him...hurt me...please..." Harry was having a nightmare. "Harry, it's ok, wake up." Draco said, "it's just a dream." Harry shrieked, and thrashed in agony, and then out of nowhere, sat straight up, gasping for air. "You're ok" Draco said, but his reassurances seemed to do the opposite of what He had wanted. Harry suddenly started sobbing, and Draco just held him in his arms, rubbing comforting circles on his back. "I'm sorry." Harry hiccupped after awhile, "I'm getting your shirt all wet" "that's ok" Draco said gently, "take all the time that you need. After a while of Draco's comforting presence, Harry finally calmed down. "Do you want to talk about it?" Draco asked. "It was horrible" Harry croaked, "I was back in the graveyard, he was there, torturing Cedric, and there was nothing I could do about it. He's still out there, waiting to kill me. He won't stop till he kills me." Draco didn't know how to respond. "I won't let anything bad happen to you." Draco said seriously, gripping Harry's hand tightly. after a brief moment they both looked down and blushed at their conjoined hands. Neither one of them wanted to let go.  It seemed like the feeling of attraction to each other was mutual. After awhile, Harry spoke "So", he began, "If I like you, and you like me, what does that make us?" "That's a great question" Draco replied, "But I think that you are going to have to help me to answer this one." Harry thought for a moment. "I think that would make us boyfriends" he said grinning. "That's alright with me" Draco said, grinning. The two of them spent the rest of the train ride getting to know each other with a game of twenty questions.
