Inseparable

No!

As Mabel walked home from school, she had a bad feeling in her gut. Usually when that happened, she ignored it, but today it was driving her insane. Bill was off in the mindscape doing "other" stuff, so he wasn't there to calm her down. Mabel had almost gotten home before she saw a bunch of ambulances rushing the direction she was going, sirens on and everything. Mabel sighed, she felt bad for whomever was in trouble. Once she got on her block, she saw police cars and ambulances surrounding HER house. She started feeling lightheaded and her stomach started spinning. "I can do this, mom probably fell, or dads blood sugar was too high, it wasn't that low this morning anyway." The teen gathered enough courage to get to her house. She immediately regretted it when she saw to cots with sheets over their bodies. She saw a policeman next to her and immediately asked, "Sir? what is going on?" The police man, probably in his 40's, answered in such a calm way you would think he enjoyed the chaos happening, "There was a homicide in this house, a married couple, Casky and Robert Pines." Mabel almost threw up. This had to be some kind of sick joke. Mabel entered the house where she saw blood splatters all over the kitchen, and a man whom she didn't know, with a knife in his throat. She gagged at the gory scene and sat on the couch, trying to contact Bill in her mind. To her surprise, there was no answer. Mabel wiped her tears and texted Dipper.

Mabel: Dipper, Mom and dad were, killed.

She choked and lifted her knees up to her face. 

Dipper: Yeah, I got a text from Uncle David. I would have told you sooner. But I lost connection. Meet at the park.

Mabel closed her phone and exited the house, ignoring the pushy officers asking her why she was in there. She almost exited the block before feeling a strong, comforting hug. The 17 year old buried her face into Bill's grey t shirt and sobbed. Bill felt so bad for Mabel, losing her parents, nothing could be harder than that.
