You woke up in what looked like a glass container, with loads of people you didn't know staring back at you. You seemed to recognize the two men who saved you, although you couldn't remember their names very well, you were always good at remembering a face. Before you were fully aware of your surroundings, the glass wall slid down, leaving you with no support. As you began to fall, you landed in the arms of an unfamiliar man who wore a red jacket.

"You good there, I think your feet were made to be stood on," He groaned. You quickly picked yourself up, giving the man a dirty look as you brushed yourself off.

"Nice to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like Keith," the Cuban man laughed.

"Lance, manners!" One of the women urged. She was taller than most of the people in the room, yourself included. She had dark skin that was complimented by her platinum, white hair. She wore an elegant ball gown, with a tiara that topped her skull.

"Where am I?" You asked as you brushed your hair out of your face.

"Found it!" The smaller woman yelled. She wore a green and white sweater, cargo shorts, and large orange boots. The thing that really stuck out about her was the twenty-sizes too big glasses she wore, but they worked with her short hazel hair. She was sitting on the floor facing a small laptop, everyone walked towards her except for one person, the man who had originally worn the black armor when you were rescued.

"Found what?" You asked. There was a lot happening all at once, and you were looking for some answers.

"I'm sorry, I'm Takashi Shirogane, but they all call me Shiro," he'd introduced. You'd mainly recognized him because of his prosthetic arm and the white fluff of hair he had. "And your name is?"

"(L/N), (Y/N) (L/N)," you answered confidently. You held your hand out to shake his.

"(Y/N) (L/N) you said it was?, Well that would have been nice to know before I went through two hours of hacking in order to find you," said the woman sitting on the floor with the laptop.

"What are you trying to find exactly?" You worried. Everyone has their secrets, you were just desperate to keep yours.

"Well (Y/N), we're trying to find out why you were thrown in Zarkon's prison, and whether you're a danger, does that answer your question?" Keith glared as he stood with his foot against the wall.

"Ha, I don't know what I find funnier, your attempt at being cool, or your out-of-style mullet," you forced a grin. Everyone let out small chuckles, except Lance, who had the loudest laugh you'd ever heard.

"It says here you were caught due to, trying to save alien prisoners?" She questioned.

"Before I answer your questions, you need to answer mine," you negotiated.

"Which is?" Shiro states.

"Where am I, who are you, and when can I leave?" You huffed. For every reason, you counted on your fingers.

"I'm Princess Allura of Planet Altea," the light haired woman replied.

"But, wasn't Altea destroyed?" You remembered.

"How did you know that?" Asked a pale man with a ginger, handlebar mustache. He and Allura both had small arrows under their eyes, you'd forgotten they were the birthmarks for Alteans.

"This isn't my first rodeo, I've been around for a while," you demurred.

"Well, while I can ask you about that later, I'm Coran, I've been helping the princess ever since she was born," he smiled.

"I'm Hunk," the large Samoan man beside the tech-whiz beamed. He wore a long-sleeved yellow shirt, that was worn along with a green vest. He tied an orange bandana in his hair to keep his long, dark brown hair out of his face. "And this is Pidge," he pointed to the female the sat beside him. She put her hand up as a sign to acknowledge you, even though you were facing her hunched-over back. "And I believe you already know Shiro, Keith, and Lance."

"Was Lance the one that-" you cut yourself off.

"Saved you?" Coran interfered with your train of thought. You nodded, seeing as that was what you were going to say in the first place. You looked around to see him standing awkwardly. He quickly looking away once you caught him staring at you. He had a dorky smile that was being quickly consumed by the vast amount of blush that was flooding his face.

"Yes, yes he was," Hunk hollered as he slapped Lance's back, which seemed to knock the breath out of the poor Cuban boy, but he didn't seem to mind. You made your way over to him and grasped his forearm in your palm.

"Thanks, I can't thank you enough, I can't thank any of you enough, really," you avowed. He placed his hand on your shoulders and smiled.

"It was my honor," he replied.

"Why were you in space trying to rescue Zarkon's prisoners?" Pidge asked.

"I can ask the same to you guys," you retaliated.

"Well, we're the Paladins of Voltron, and this is the Castle of Lions," Lance confirmed.

"Paladins, Voltron, lions?" You asked.

"You've never heard of Voltron?" The princess gawked. You shook your head.

"The princess' father created five lions that fought against any of the world's evil, this is what we use to fight Zarkon," the ginger-man explained.

"So, Voltron is good?" You asked.

"Yes? Why wouldn't it be good?" The princess asked confused.

"No reason, you had no idea for what King Alfor had in mind when he created it," you shrugged.

"I don't know how you knew my father, but you're new here, I would watch where the line lies, so you don't step over it," she barked.

"Princess, calm down," Shiro confronted. She took a deep breath and turned away.

"(Y/N), we were wondering..." Hunk trailed off.

"Wondering if?" You continued. Not knowing that this question would be the start of a new life.

"We were wondering if, you wanted to stay."
