When Leah-Ann is holding her little one in a dark cabinet because someone strange was destroying their house while demanding to know where her wife Joanna is, absolutely nothing seems more important for the next few hours than protecting her daughter, Rosa.
While hoping that wherever Joanna really is, she doesn't come home till the stranger is gone.
Her thudding heart agreed with her as she decided she knew exactly who the stranger was. A feminine snarl sounds and Leah-Ann almost gasps in surprise at the sudden sound.
"why are we hiding?" Rosa whispers.
"Because your mother wouldn't use a window to get in when she has keys." The mother said as quickly and quietly as she could. This was not Joanna.
Rosa was about to say more when a low growl came from somewhere close to the cabinet. Leah held her breath and covered Rosa as the intruder stopped in front of the cabinet door.
Leah-Ann covered both of their mouths and prayed to any devine being that would convince the demon to keep walking around.
Leah almost screamed when the cabinet door was suddenly pulled off. With a small gasp, she found herself face to face with the bloodiest thing she had ever seen. Is it even a human?
Rosa always was curious, so it's no real surprise to her daughter when Leah's hand reached to part the matted hair of the stranger.
In two seconds flat, she had stepped back, hissing at the mother and child before running back through shattered, kitchen window.
No one moved for a long time after that.
