"What was that all about?" Winn asked when he finally got the chance to catch her phase.

"What was what? I'm on my way to my next class." Lena said, mastering her blunt face.

"I.. Nothing. So I'll see you later after class?"

"Yeah. Sure." she found her way walking towards her next class and found the room still empty. She was fifteen minutes early. She sat down and opened her book.

She heard footsteps coming in but didn't bother to see who it was.

Out of all the empty chairs in the room, the other person still chooses to sit beside her. Sometimes it feels like an ESP, this ability to detect another person staring.

Seconds later, Lena placed her book down and turn to her side. She froze when she met blue eyes staring back at her.

"Hi!"

Lena was confused. Was this girl actually saying hi to her?

"Hi..." she answered in a weak voice.

"My friends are in a different class. We were in the same class this morning. So I'm thinking hey someone I know, well not know per se, I'm Kara by the way."

Usually, she would shut down when people tried to talk to her. The only person she can stand was Will. But this girl was different.

"Lena... Luthor." she expected the other girl to flinch just by hearing her name. Kara was anything but that, instead, there was nothing but a genuine smile in her face.

"Finally, I had the chance to meet the infamous Luthor. I heard so much about you."

"Uhmmm. I think you've mistaken me for my brother. " she looked away. Here it comes. Lena Luthor, the younger and only sister of a far much more famous Lex Luthor. A varsity player, president of the school newspaper, and top of his class. Who is she but a mere shadow?

"I'm pretty sure you're Lena Kieran Luthor. The Luthor who goes once a week to read stories for onco children in National City Hospital. Luthor who mastered every instrument that is known to man. I love the Cello. I saw your recital, you were amazing."

Lena finally stared back at the blonde girl. "Are you stalking me?" for the first time she smiled upon their conversation.

"What if I am?" Kara said back with a playful tone in her voice.

"You're doing a banging job." Lena crosses her arms, smirking as she engages herself in their playful banter.

"I always wanted to be a reporter. And it means research. I'm is good at that. Maybe I should be a reporter instead. " Kara smiled with a dreamy look in her eyes.

"You thought about that just now?"

"Newton was just sitting under an apple tree when he discovered gravity. Maybe this is a great discovery for me. But shifting course means paperwork, and I'm not sure if I'm up to that. "

Luna tilted her head slightly, baffled as she listens to the blonde girl talk about almost everything. Their conversation ended when other students start filling all the chairs in the room. She gave Kara one last look before she brought her attention to the class. It felt strange for another person to make her smile.. but there was something about Kara that made her feel vulnerable. And she's not entirely sure if she's up to that.
