A New Form

I awake in a hospital gown the room I recently saw through a window. I gaze around at the doctors: all smiling, glad it worked. I remember what I was: a mere human. Brown hair, brown eyes, bright spirit. I look at my hands and I'm shocked to find them a fully toned bright blue. I still have five fingers, but they seem longer. I stand up suddenly and accustom my new body. I look at my feet; also blue. One of the doctors hold up a mirror so I can see my new face. I am lean and slim, not to mention muscular. My eyes are a bright yellow and my hair is jet black. I still have my curls: ringlets and waves all over my head that hang to my shoulders, just like before. I look at my legs, which feel farther away than I'm used to. I stand and I'm taller than the doctors by a clean 6 inches plus. I feel my hair in the grass at a long braids that ends at the base of the tail. A tail! I tell it to move around my body so I can see it, the same way I would tell my arms to pick up a pencil or my legs to walk. The tail is about 2 feet long and has a jet black tuft at the end, the same color as my hair. I grab it and wag the tip back-and-forth. I then noticed the instruments attached to my arms and pull them off. I then just walk out the door, oblivious to the doctors' warnings. Still in the hospital gown, I dash through the training and sleeping area and into the forest beyond.
