This book is based off the clans in the forest territory many years before Firestar came into the forest.  It is after SkyClan was chased out though.

WindClan:
Leader:
Wolfstar: greyish red tom with an M mark on his forhead.

Deputy:
Badgerfang: pretty stock black and white she-cat. (Mother to Wolfstars kit Foxkit)

Medicine Cat:
Tinyfern: young black and white tom with short legs.

Warriors:
Heatherbird: pale brown tabby tom
Apprentice, Breezepaw

Mouseleap: brown tom
Apprentice, Snakepaw

Jaystone: dark grey she-cat with a greying muzzle.

Kestrelclaw: dark brown almost black tabby tom with green eyes.
Apprentice, Stripepaw

Redfang: large ginger tabby she-cat

Creamyberry: large creamy white she-cat

Colddreams: white she-cat (mother to Heatherbirds kit Frostkit)

We would strike soon.  It was a cold leaf-bare morning, with my white tom- friend beside me we sheath our claws digging it into the dirt below us.  My amber eyes set on the goal, a stock pump black and white she-cat.  Her eyes were on a tom so we both knew she has not noticed us yet.

I keep my body to the ground ready to pounce when I got close enough.  The other tom followed close in behind.  I look back and nod to the tom, his grey patches really stuck out in the snow.  We both ready ourselves...and pounce high in the air!

I land on her back first and stick my claws in.  The other tom fell short.  The she-cat looked at me with her feirce amber eyes making me let go off her back.  I lower my ears and looked at my paws guiltily.  "Foxkit! No claws, it may not hurt but really gets on my nerves." she meowed sternly glaring at the kit.  The white kit padded up to his friend looking up at the she-cat.

"I am sorry Badgerfang, I had the idea." he meowed with his high pitched voice.   I angle my ears towards him in surprise.  It was in the end all my idea.  Wolfstar, who my mother was talking to watched from the sidelines with amusement on his golden eyes.  My mother must jave saw the surprised look in my eyes.

"Frostkit, if it was your idea your mother Colddreams would ne hearing about this." she meowed.  Frostkit sunk his body to tje ground in fear.  I narrow my eyes at my mom as I step up in front of my friend.  "No it was all me, why does it even matter?" I asked courageously.

Badgerfang showed her teeth at her kit.  "I am busy, leave me alone." she finisjed as she went back to my father and leader.  My body was tense.  I look back at Frostkit whos eyes were filled with fear.  He stands up and sighs.  We head out of the warm leaders den skipping over each others feet.

"Why is Badgerfang so grumpy?" Frostkit asked as he tried to jump over a big rock but failed in doing so tumbling to the ground.  The sky was filled with light blue clouds.  The camp was empty, although a sickness just swept through the camp killing many cats including Frostkits three siblings.  It was empty amd quiet for cats were patrolling or hunting.
