"Shiroi if you don't get up this second you'll be late!" my grandma yelled from the kitchen l as I groggily got up "I'm up and it's only- "I look towards my clock that read 7:30 and dashed out of my bed to get changed first day of school and I'm already late. Well for those of you who don't know me I'm Shiroi Awayuki my long purple hair was a big contrast compared to my dark skin color but I'm a Japanese-Haitian that's been I've been living on the country side of Japan for some time with my grandmother Rosemary La Rose. It's been hard for us ever since my mother passed away when I was 10. It was devastating for everyone but she only left me her special with a small box that I'm only allowed to open when I'm 16 tomorrow is my birthday and I'll finally see what's on there" I'm ready grandma " when I came out from the hallway you could see her tears of joys" My granddaughter following in the steps of her mother I'm so proud of you now go fulfill your dream"she squeezed my hands and I gathered my bags walking out the door to the cab. I turned around seeing someone run away from their hiding spot

"Wait -*ding dong* hearing the bell I rushed back inside to my class
I woke up with a jolt as the car came to a halt

"We're here miss" the cab driver called out to me . " I slowly got up and look out the window seeing the vibrant school with students around the campus all unique in talent . I thanked the cab driver and started walking to find the dorms. After about a few minutes of walking I just fell to the floor. "My body wasn't meant for this " I groaned breathing heavily when I got up again I heard someone singing. The closer I got to the sound the more I felt the soothing coldness of the voice. "I want to reach for the stars twinkle star shooting there's a light a greater light I don't need anything " His sparkles they were shaped kind of like roses "What are you doing here" seeing me his sparkles faded away and his eyes gave me a cold stare. "I'm sorry your singing was just so beautiful that I just couldn't help myself " I giggled and looked at his blank face "It doesn't matter just leave" he started walking off and I pouted "Jerk couldn't even show a lady the way to the dorms" I went back the way I came bumping into a teacher I assume. "What are you doing out here it's class time" his face gave an uncaring look but his eyes told me his whole world.

"I'm sorry sir I can't find the dorms" i bowed nervously and he lead me to my dorm."Thank you so much " I ran inside leaving my bag and running to class. Once I got there I was out of breath "So nice of you to join us" the teacher scowled at me and I stood in front of the class nervously holding onto my books. "This is our new transfer student she'll be in our class from now on take your seat." When he finished I sat in a empty row jotting down notes . "Next class we shall have a demonstration of your magical arts so be prepared and Miss Awayaki you're on the festival committee i believe they're having a meeting today" he smirked and left I don't think I'll have a good a school year with him I sighed walking out going to the committee. After five minutes I ran to the committee area realizing I don't know where it was. "Chesseballs I'm going to be late " I wandered around and found an abandoned part of the school . Everything seemed to be boarded up except a small light coming from the end of the hall. I opened the door and saw something coming at me it hit me right across my face. " What the heck!" I yelled in shock The person inside stopped what he was doing and gave me a blank stare "Ink you have ink all over your face"he bluntly stated and I walked inside to clean myself off. He continued to do his work without even worrying about me "Boys here apparently have no manners"I mumbled as I was about to head out I slipped on some paper falling right on top of the guy. "Soft"his words were muffled and I quickly got off of him apologizing. "It's okay" he went back to his work and I knelt down near him"Your calligraphy is beautiful " his sparkles were pointy each spoke something that longed to be heard. "I'm Shiroi " he just grunted in response not telling me his name and I gave up trying to communicate with him I looked around the room with disgust and the cleaner and me started speaking "Clean or you shall bring dishonor to your family!!!" It said

Suminomiya POV

"Lets start cleaning this room " she rolled up her sleeves cleaning and finished cleaning surprisingly . "There done " she breathed a sigh of relief wiping her forehead I looked around the room and the warm sunlight flowed into the room through the windows " what a warm and lovely light like the light when I first came to Hoshigei high" I said in awe grabbing my brush. I started hearing her sing in a low voice

Come with me we're chasing dreams

My brush strokes felt more light it was as if she was taking the burden off my shoulders

Time and space like stardust they will fade away

My strokes more vivid "The ink ,paper they're all so colorful "I exclaimed

Up in the atmosphere we can disappear disappear

Hearts will collide

"It's not the word I wanted but I feel like I'm close to it " I took her hand kneeling saying thank you. Her warm hand caressed my cheek her smile seemed to be saying you're welcome the light shining on her made her seem like a angel. "Can you lead me to the Hoshigei Festival house please I been lost for a while now "she helped me up and I walked her over there casually talking to her. "I'm so sorry I'm late" I bowed and the two members that were there stared at me the teacher who was seemingly tired got up and looked at a list " Shiroi Awayaki ?" He gave me a shocked look and the jerk from earlier bowed just like the guy "Oh I just realized I don't know your name"I turned my attention to him and I saw him 'sitting' in a chair "Suminomiya Aoi "he said with a blank expression.
