The party was in full swing. People from every house had gathered in the Gryffindor common room.

"Merlin, I hate parties," Rose stated to her cousin Lily.

"Just because you are a boring, let lose once in a while Rosie. You already made head girl and we know you will get all O's on your NEWTS. Take one night off," Lily put her hands on her hips as she lectured her older cousin.

Just as Lily finished talking Hugo, her little brother, walked over with a cup full of firewhisky.

"Hey!!" Hugo protested as Rose took away his beverage.

"Don't even, you're underage and I am head girl, you are lucky I'm not docking points."

"Rose everyone one is drinking. Godric! This isn't about being a good head girl you just are trying to baby me," Hugo puffed while trying to grab back his drink.

Rose being only five-foot-six knew she wouldn't be able to physically fight off her younger brother seeing how he was five-foot-ten. But, she was a Ravenclaw and she know how to problem solve. It was only after she raised the cup to her lips and chugged it that she saw the flaw to her plan.

"Merlin's saggy balls," Hugo and Lily said in union.

Rose didn't respond she simply walked away she didn't want the younger two to see her blow steam out. She made it a fair distance away before bumping into tone guy and blowing the steam she had held in onto his chest.

"Woah, slow down Rose," Scorpius wrapped his arm around her.

"Why is it always you I bump into?"

He was glad she didn't look up and keep her forehead pressed into his chest. He knew his face would give him away; she always ran into him because he was always around. He didn't mean it to be creepy but he enjoyed her company and tended to be headed in her direction whenever she plowed into him. Instead of replying he shrugged.

She felt him shrug and knew she needed to lift her head. She didn't want to though.

Though they were both Albus's best friend they had only stop being enemies in fourth year.

"...that year was great..."

"Rose what year was great?" Scorp questioned confused.

"What? Oh nothing sorry," Rose replied jumping back.

She grabbed a floating drink and took giant gulp to bid her time before she had speak again. Much to her displeasure it wasn't butterbeer or even pumpkin juice it was more firewhisky.
She could already feel the flush on her cheeks.

"Are you okay? You seem kinda jumpy? Did someone upset you?" Scorpius inquired.

She just took another drink barely hearing her best mate. She was too busy thinking about how great fourth year was. They were all best friends. It was just the three of them nothing complicated. Then fifth year came and shit hit the fan. Rose Weasley developed a crush on him. She manage to act normal around him but now that they were Heads together and didn't have Al around all the time she didn't know how to act.

"Rose? Rosie? Weasley?!" Scorp was shaking her.

"Hmm?" Rose said to him.

"Are you okay? I've never known you to drink but you down that in like 30 seconds flat?"

"What oh yeah I'm okay? Do you mind grabbing me another?"

He looked at her unsure her cheeks were flushed but she was a Weasley and her cheeks were normally flushed as of late.

"Sure," He said slowly passing her another cup.

"Thanks," She said with a smile.

They began talking about Head duties and the next Hogsmeade visit. Soon Rose had finished another glass and couldn't stop giggling.

"Alright you've had to much. How much have you had?"

"No I haven't! You're not incharge of me!" Rose shouted embarrassing him.

"Rose, I can't remember you ever having Firewhisky. I think maybe you should head to bed. You aren't thinking clearly," he whispered to her.

She shivered as he whispered in her ear. Maybe she should kiss him now? No! She was starting to agree that she might be a bit drunk. Bed. She loved her bed. But her bed was lonely.

He felt her shiver and stepped back to remove his jumper for her. When he pulled it over his head he could see her face was all scrunched up like when she was trying to get a new charm right.

"Earth to Rose?" He said handing her his jumper.

"I felt you shiver, years in the dungeons made the rest of the castle seem like a summer paradise" he joked.

"Oh thanks Scorp," she said quickly pulling it over her head to hide the blush that was forming.

"Scorpiusssss," a female voice called.

His eyebrow cocked and he glanced around only to see Olivia Wood approaching. She was captain of Gryffindor Quidditch team just as her dad once was. He thought she was coming over to gloat but to his surprise she tried to kiss him.

Rose couldn't handle it. Since when was he with Olivia? Scorpius hadn't dated annoying since third year. Why now?! She felt like crying. She bolted out of the party which was tricky seeing now that she was drunk and dizzy.

After prying Olivia off his neck he looked around for Rose only to see a brilliant flash of red slip out of Gryffindor's common room.
