You stare in the mirror, trying to figure out what's off. Well you know what is off, you're just trying to come to a conclusion. Short dark brown hair frames your angular face, your jaw is strong and it bugs you to no end. No no, you've known what's wrong for a very long time. You're just too scared to admit it. You don't want to admit it.
You are Frisk and you are a bo- no.
You're Frisk and you've always wanted to be a girl, and are one at least to yourself.
As of right now your hair is the longest it's been since you were a kid. You're 23 now. You're growing your hair out, you want it long, it looks more natural that way.
A loud banging sound emits from your bedroom door and you walk over to open it, before you stood Chara.
"You're gonna be late for dinner" as he says that you perk up, frowning.
"Oh yeah, i forgot, sorry"
"Just hurry up" he closes the door and leaves, your frown delves even deeper than before. Going into your closet you pick out a short sleeved shirt and shorts, after getting dressed you look at a purse you kept from when you were a kid. You pick it up, slinging it around your shoulder and smiling before taking it off and putting it back to where it was before. After a second you walk out of your bedroom, the cold wooden floor sending shivers up your spine. You quickly put on your shoes and wait for Chara and Asriel. Although his constant pestering about not being late, Chara is the last one to appear ready to go.
You all head out the door, Asriel taking the keys off the counter then catching up to you and Chara, Asriel is apparently going to be the one to drive you all to the restaurant. You get in the back seat, and so does Chara. As Asriel complains about being the only one up front Chara begins to strike up a conversation with you.
"so whats with that purse you got hidden away?" Your face heats up and a burst of adrenaline soaks your chest,
"h-how did you know about that?"
"I was making sure you weren't slacking off, and to no one's surprise you were"
You frown and look down, why did he do that, much less tell you about your embarrassing secret.
"Cheer up you crybaby, it's just a fancy bag" He was right in that sense, it was just a fancy looking bag, nothing important, right? But it gave you comfort, comfort that one day maybe your appearance will match enough to where you can bring that purse with you into public and not be ashamed of the stares you get. One day, you thought. One day you'll be able to carry that purse with you.
"Sorry, Chara, you're right"
"see, aren't i always right?"
"no"
"that was a rhetorical question, dummy" He looks at you while frowning, he pokes your arm
"you sure you're ok, Frisk?" You slap Chara's hand away lightly, trying to seem playful.
"yeah, i'm good" Although you were trying to stay present to the situation, your mind keeps urging to think about other not so urgent subjects, like going shopping which you've been dreading for a while. You look away from Chara and ignore Asriel's try at distracting you from your gloomy and dissociated mood.
Maybe you can buy more feminine looking clothes next time shopping, even though that would be hard and difficult to will yourself to do, maybe if you tell Chara or Asriel they could help. Now that you're thinking about it, maybe you should just tell Asriel about it, Chara seems to have enough on his plate.
Before you know it, you have arrived at the resturant and Asriel is talking to you and Chara, you seem to be able to hang on to and process the last bit of his sentance
