ten thirty rolls around, and the game of truth or dare had been long forgotten.
however, richie's honesty about his crush on eddie had been in the back of a few of their minds.
el had been sitting, worried about the outcome, as richie had originally been so adamant on not telling. this made max and bev increasingly worried as well. bill and stanley kept giving him concerned glances, checking to see how he was doing. and eddie - well eddie hadn't taken his eyes off of him for a moment.
finally, eddie stands from his spot on the couch, moving toward where richie stands, talking to mike and dustin.
"can i talk to you?" he mumbles when he reaches the group, and richie seems taken aback by the question, but nods and follows his friend into the kitchen.
"what's up?" richie doesn't seem very on edge about admitting his feelings, and it confuses eddie.
"i don't..." eddie hesitates for a moment, angry, conflicted, unsure of what to say. so then he just leans in instead, bringing his lips to richie's awkwardly. the peck is so short that richie feels kind of like he imagined it, and then eddie is gone.
