The sun rose
As it give people their last hope
for this is the last time they saw
the warmth of the striking sol
stomping of soldiers were all I could hear.
the crying of the children who were in fear.
frightened am i to go outside.
yet it was a terror to stay within sight.
"come here you creature!" Says one soldier
"or you will find yourself drowning at a tub of hot water!"
they grasp the hair of the red headed child
that made her head bleed and her eyes cry.
I grasp the arm of my sister
As she cries in terror
we tried to get out briskly
without getting it too risky
every step i made.
it was forbidden to take.
yet my life depended on my feet.
for us to be free.
one step at a time we go.
for the soldiers wouldn't know.
that we, sisters should go free.
for our family is waiting thee.
light was getting brighter
a sense of hope was getting clearer
but all of which became a blur
when the soldier finally got her.
I stood there in terror
when I saw the true meaning of horror
as they shoot my sister
in the depths of my deep sorrow
My heart wrenched
As to my people, who's soldiers wasted thy flesh
I saw her pale face, barely covered with blood
oh, madness, be all gone!
I knelt down
even though I knew I could get down
I reached for her dead, lifeless body
With my tears dropped from my eyes to her face that was ever-so holy
