Chapter 1 (The war has started)

It was a sunny afternoon in sunnyville and I was just relaxing in my yard enjoying the sunny afternoon when all of a sudden something had happened just down the street. All I heard was a loud explosions but I lived near a trailer park that has those things in the front for gas so it didn't come to thought it would be anything else. I just thought oh something at the trailer park exploded again. This was the second time I had heard it today but this time it did not stop and after about 5 minutes it came to my mind that it was not normal. I quickly ran into my house and flicked on the Tv and grabbed my phone about to call the police when it came on the screen that we where in the middle of a war. But how? it was 3100 and there had not been a war in years so how was this possible that we would be in a war now. This was unbelievable. On tv they said to seek shelter but if possible to flee to the nearest escape point set up. They said to go to a certain website to check for those so i did. My nearest one was about 900 miles from me. I quickly grabbed my kid and we both ran out to my garage. My garage I had built years ago to stand against a war when threats where given but never had actually happened. I and others just figured they where all talk but no action but now I see that it was actually happening. I locked the door with my heavy duty locks expected to hold a safe. I told my Daughter to sit in the corner of the room where my desk was. I quickly got things ready. Cathy all of a sudden reminded me about my laptop that i had sitting on my desk that i had completely forgotten about. I booted that up and did a few searches and found that one of the escape points was destroyed between the 15 minutes ago that I had checked it and that the nearest one was now approx 2000 miles from us. I quickly got up and knew we had to do something. I called up my two friends and told them to get over to my place asap. They did little did i know they where already on the way before i even called. They said to be ready to hit the garage opener so I stayed near it. Not even two minutes later they showed up we quickly got the garage opened and closed. They jumped out of there SUV they had and said they had a few things in the back they figured i might need. There SUV had bars on the windows and the whole body was covered in steel metal and everything from the engine to the suspension was upgraded to hold even the heaviest loads and every pot hole we had in our neighborhood. Yes our neighborhood has enough potholes its amazing how many cars have needed a tow truck out of here. Anyway lets get going. They opened there doors in the back and it had been a custom two door on the back instead of a door that opens upwards. They pulled out bars and a bunch of steel to put on my car. I was lucky they had upgraded my car a few weeks back while i was out on a vacation. Did they know something I didn't? That had to be decided at a later time now wasn't the time to figure that out. We quickly drilled holes around the windows for the bars and bunch of other holes for the steel body to help protect more. They stopped and looked at me, I knew this wasn't good look either. I asked, what? They said your car doesn't have the quality to hold as much as ours so it wont be able to hold as much weight. I just about yelled but held my temper in and said well what can we do? They said well what we could do is put it all on and risk it. I decided at a time like now maybe that would be the best chance so i decided lets risk it. I said OK i'm gonna risk it but i need to talk to my daughter first.

BTW did i tell you about my daughter? Well she is 16 years old and a very intelligent girl. I walked over to her and told her our little complication knowing i'm risking it taking the time to talk to her about it but knew it was also for both our safety. We decided to go with it but also decided that my friends SUV will have to hold the heavier supplies while we take the lightest supplies.

As my friends got the car ready I went over to get the map out of our drawer and laid it out on my desk. After about 1 hour the car was done and while they where doing what they where doing I got the trip planned out. We got together and talked about what we are going to do and where we are going. Little did I know this plan was going to not go as planned at all and that things where about to get even more complicated then we originally thought. I got the laptop and everything else packed up that we would need. Gave each person a walki but explained that in vehicle that to cut down on confusion and annoyingness that there is to only be one person to have theirs on preferably the driver. I explained that only that that we all should have it on is when we are out of the vehicle and only then. We filled my car with water and food while the SUV took the heavier supplies such as medical stuff, computer stuff and camping gear along with the tools in case our vehicles have a problem or we need to make a few adjustments. They also had a heavy duty hitch and we filled the trailer of ours which was converted from a RV to a survival trailer. We filled that with other supplies such as vehicle parts we had along with tires in case of tire problems. We had this trailer ready for past 2 years so it has about 2 years of collected vehicle items along with the tires stacked high but also secure so nothing falls on us if we end up needing to go in it for some kind of part. It was also organized so we don't have to spend to much time finding a part and will know exactly where it is. This RV trailer was the size of a big bus. We where ready. I glanced outside to to my amazement nothing had reached us yet. I knew this was the moment to go while we still could. I jumped in the driver seat Cathy jumped in the passengers. I yelled WALKI'S ON NOW! Not a minute later I heard the driver of the SUV come over the walki and I said ok lets roll out. I lead you have the most important equipment so I will lead. Each of our vehicles had 2 hand guns with a whole a suitcase of bullets and a rocket launcher, along with a few AK47's. We where ready for a war. I didn't think there would ever be a war but always wanted to be ready and I am glad I had gotten ready for this. Something tells me since my friend had just gotten my car upgraded last week and gotten all the weapons ready that he knew about this but the real question was how. This however wasn't a good time to talk about it because a minute after that thought came through my head my Van was hit in the rear end by another car. My buddy came over the walki and yelled, YOU GOT A HUMMER ON YOUR REAR SHAKE IT! I looked in my rear view mirror and seen that it was modded up and marked on the side SECURITY and not even protected for a war. My buddy didn't notice that but i did. I picked up the walki and said its security but has us mixed up with the rear people. Next thing I knew the Hummer was side impacted by another hummer. They both where out with an explosion. At that time I knew it had been a suicide bomber that took out security. My buddy came over the walki and said hey buddy I know that was security but that doesn't mean Shit in a war a person could steal a security stuff and pretend to be security. Don't take that chance ok bud? I replied with 10-4 your right. I knew he was right we shouldn't take that chance. We got on the freeway following a few other people who where also fleeing and knew this the radio transmitter that was written on the back of each survival vehicle. Each family has there own survival vehicle they can make for a war for safety but by law they had to have there radio transmitter on the back to be able to be contacted by other drivers who are fleeing a war for safety.
