THE GIFT

HER POV

Its been a week since nung nagising ako sa ospital. Mabuti nalang at naging okay na ang lahat. Yung mga pasa at kunting galos ay wala na rin. Bumisita din sa ospital sina Ashley at Alex. Ang saya ko nang makita ko silang dalawang magkasama. They really are an epitomy of a perfect relationship. Makikita talaga around Alex at Ashley ang pagmamahal. Halatang halata sa kanilang dalawa.  Napatingin ako sa aking wrist watch at napabuntong hininga. Ang aga ko palang dumating sa school. Seven o'clock pa pala ng umaga at eight thirty pa ang starting of classes kaya pumunta muna ako ng cafeteria to have some coffee. Inilibot ko ang aking paningin as I saw the Bo's Coffee stall. Naglakad na ako sa naturang coffee shop at pumasok sa loob. Naghanap ako ng mauupuan at napagdesisyonan kong sa gilid nalang ng glass wall umupo. Inilapag ko ang aking bag at pumunta sa counter para umorder ng hot coffee. It was a great ambiance here. The home grown style of interior makes it more comfortable kaya napapadalas ako sa Bo's Coffee. Tumingin sa akin ang counter girl as I coldly look at her. Bakit hindi ako binati ng echoserang to? Masasapak ko 'to. Pero timpi lang muna ako. She looks at me bitchily. At anong problema ng pangit na 'to?

"What's your order?" She asks impolitely as I glare at her. How dare she looks and acts like that in my face. Well lets see.

"I want to talk to your Branch Manager as to how you treat your customer bitch." I answer at nakita kong nagulat siya sa sinabi ko. Saka pa nanlaki ang kanyang mata nang marealize ang mga sinabi ko at nanlambot ang kanyang ekspresyon. "Too late girl, I want you out of this shop coz you're a disgrace as an employee in the name of 'Bo's Coffee'." I threat her nang sobra na akong naiinis sa kanya. Timing namang dumating ang isang lalaki. He was wearing a maroon colored long sleeves polo with gray shaded tie and a pair of white slocks. He is around late twenties in his corporate look.

"What is the problem here Ma'am?" He asks while smiling and diverts his gaze at the counter girl beside him and back at me.

"She was being rude to me. How come I love Bo's Coffee when  one of the employee was treating me an outcast? How was the treatment I received can be compared to your 'Home Grown' theme?" I ask him while I can't hide my anger and look at the counter girl. "Do you know who you're talking to right now?" I ask her and she gulps while her eyes were as wide as a plate. I shift my gaze down her named plate. 'Demi Bavianno' ang nakalagay na pangalan sa kanyang left side plate. "I am Allen Dominguez, and I can break this store right here, right now." I shout at napansin kong napa-startle ang dalawa. Biglang namutla ang babae at nakita ko siyang pinagpapawisan.

"Ms. Bavianno, you're fired. Go to the employee's room and get your things there." The manager firmly states and he turns his head to me, smiling. "Good afternoon Ma'am, feel at home in Bo's Coffee. Let me take and serve your order Ma'am." Masayang bati ng Manager  habang nakangiti. Sinuri ko ang ngiting iyon at napansin kong hindi peke. Buti nalang baka magwild pa ako rito nang wala sa oras.
