♔Name: Clarissa Y.

♔How long have you been making covers?:

   -abour three weeks

♔What programs do you use:

   -Photoshop CS5

♔Where do you find images:

   -Deviantart, weheartit, favim, google images

♔Why do you make covers:

-Because.. It's practice for designing work I guess? Which I love to do and it's fun :)

♔How/why did you start making covers:

-I made my own as my very first one; I found it fun so when I saw the book cover thread I just did a few "competitions" or something. After that I start up my own thread and one with a few people and it went on from there :)

♔What's the most irritating thing as a cover maker:

-When people don't respond and you don't know whether they want your cover or not. Or when they simply use it without even saying a word of thanks, like making them a cover is something you owe to them. I spend very long on each cover, so I hope that people would at least appreciate that even if they don't like my cover.

♔What's the best thing as a cover maker:

-When people are happy with your cover of course :)) And when you churn out a good piece of work. It's that sense of satisfaction that makes cover-making worthwhile; and all other forms of designing I believe.

♔Happiest moment as a cover maker:

-There isn't a particular moment. But it's so fun and funny when the people I make covers for are happy about it and then they start spamming your thread with all sorts of funny hilarious stuffs haha. Of course with some other passersby but it's great making friends that way.

♔Tips to share/message to other makers:

-Use photoshop! There's nothing else better in the world. Oh and if you've just first started keep in mind that simplicity is key. Don't flood your covers with all sorts of curly/messy graphics; it's just not pleasing. It's better to blend a lot of tiny simple graphics together to make it look whole instead of putting in a bunch of messy graphics that stand out; then they just compete with each other. In the end, everything is all about practice practice practice. Oh, and also observation. It's good to look at the covers you like and try to spot out just what about them you want to follow.

♔Message to requesters:

-Remember that we're making covers for you as a favour and it's not our job; so don't treat us cover makers as people you paid money to hire. (Then perhaps in that case the customer is always right.) It's just good to be considerate. Drop by some feedback or a thanks after you've seen the cover, and when you request spam (aka ask a bunch of people for covers), at least give the maker a message about it because they do add in a lot of effort for each and every single graphic. It's not nice to simply leave a request message and when the maker spends an hour at your cover, you choose somebody else's without him or her even knowing.

♔Promote your thread:

   -Here it is-> ❤ ♐ Bliss of an Artisan ♊ ❤

♔Any other thing you might want to add?:

  -Remember requesters! Be nice :))
