"This is my friend Liam." [Y/N] tells her father. I may be imagining it, but I'm almost certain she put emphasis on friend. "We're working on a history project together." She explains. Her father gives his approval for us to go upstairs. He doesn't know I've seen her room a couple of times before. Although, if you ask me now, I wouldn't be able to tell what it looks like.
[Y/N] has been giving me the cold shoulder for weeks now. It probably is what I deserve, but it still sucks. Everything was always good and easy between us. Then we shared to many secrets and she needed her distance back.
"New bedsheets?" I comment once we are in her bedroom.
"Redecorated half my room, actually. Thanks for noticing."
"I was quite distracted last time." I mutter, which makes her roll her eyes. "What? It's true."
"Don't make this inappropriate. We're here to study, that's it." [Y/N] sits down on her bed and opens up her books. I watch as her eyes scan the pages she flips through. "Well, are you planning to help?" She raises her brows after a moment.
"Why are you being so hostile?"
"I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
"I'm trying to study here."
I shake my head. "You're only reading to avoid me."
[Y/N] scoffs. "Not everything is about you."
"Sure." I shrug, "But this is."
She sighs. "Liam, I don't want to talk about this."
"We can't just ignore the elephant in the room."
"The wolf." She corrects me. "Werewolf."
"Oh, you actually can say it out loud?" I chuckle but a bitter feeling settles over my stomach. The disgust that comes along so easily as she says those words stings.
"You're an asshole, Liam." [Y/N] shakes her head.
"Thought I was your friend." I mock her emphasis. I am only making things worse, I know it, but this whole situation is just ridiculous.
"What else was I supposed to tell my dad, huh? This is Liam, just found out he's a freaking werewolf but it's alright, most of the time you don't notice, like during sex."
"Well I definitely wouldn't say that to your father."
"What? The sex or the wolf thing? I'm pretty sure I know which one he'd rather hear." She snaps.
"Ouch."
"No. You don't get to be the one that's hurt here Liam. You should have been upfront about it. I can't even begin to tell you how wrong this entire situation is."
"Unless you're a total prude, which I know you're not-"
"Oh please shut up." [Y/N] sighs. "You really don't get it. That's the worst part." She shakes her head. "Liam, I don't have sex with just anyone. You can't make people fall in love with you and then dump this kind of information on them like it's nothing." She exclaims.
A silence falls upon the room until I speak up again. "You're in love with me?"
"Don't." [Y/N] shakes her head. "Love is just one massive dark hole that I never want to fall in ever again." She gets up from her bed and walks out of the room. I hear the bathroom door shut behind her, the lock falling in it's place.
"I'll see you at school." I say as I walk past the bathroom door. There is no reply, but I know she heard me.

Your point of view
Splashing water in your face usually helps calm you down, this time it doesn't work. Nothing seems right anymore. Everything that you believed about this world, everything that you knew, is turned upside down. All because of Liam Dunbar.
Through the bathroom window you watch him walk out of your street, shoulders shrunk, hands in his pockets. Deep down you know you shouldn't blame him for what he is, he never asked to become a werewolf, it just happened to him.
That kind of makes the circle go round. Liam is a wolf, you shouldn't blame him, but you do, because he's a wolf. Liam can't be fixed; he doesn't even want to. If you could, you'd take every moment that you spend with him back. Not because you didn't absolutely love those moments, but because you're gonna have to live without them, and that's a hell of a lot better to do when you don't know what you're missing in the first place.
Later that evening when the doorbell rings, your father calls out that it's for you. A little confused, and unsure if it's appropriate to walk out in your worn down pajamas, you make it to the front door to be faced with Liam.
"What are you doing here?" You frown a little.
"I uhm- these are for you." He mutters, holding out a bouquet of sunflowers. "Those are your favorites, right?"
Your heart flutters. "How'd you know?"
"I may or may not have asked around." He mumbles. "That doesn't matter, really. I uh- I realized something and I had to tell you." He says as he looks down to the floor.
"What is it?" You frown again.
Now Liam's eyes find yours, immediately they are locked up in a hold that makes your knees weak and your heart beat faster than you knew it could.
"I fell in a hole."
