9 pm. A suburban house in the West part of Frederick County, Maryland, is quiet in it's small neighborhood. A young transgender teen, now named Danny, looked in a mirror at himself, proud of what he had become. The girl once known as Jillian has now died in favor of Danny. He was wearing a red plaid shirt, black skinny jeans, a shit pair of beaten chucks, and his hair was short, but long enough so that it made a swoop in his bangs that covered one eye. The kids at the Middle school made fun of him, and neither his parents, nor the church liked the way he was begining to present himself more and more.

"A woman shouldn't have her hair in her eyes." Said Linda, her mother, driving to her to school on a late Tuesday morning.

Danny didn't want to come out to his mom just yet. After all, what Protestant mom would want to accept that their daughter isn't a daughter? It's unfair to his mom, so his mom never knew.

At school, he would get picked on. The little fuckers would call him a faggot, and a tranny. He knew it bothered him, but his best friend Emily took his mind off of it. Emily wasn't a typical girl either. She wore leggings to try to give her flat ass some sort of shape, and even though she was an A size, she wore a double D bra and a crop top almost every day. Emily would tell Danny not to worry too much, and that it was all in his head. Danny of course would believe everything Emily told her.

This was life for the two 13 year olds. Not good, but it could be worse. That was until Danny and Emily decided to hang out at Danny's house. Linda was being her usual sarcastic, bitchy self, and Emily couldn't take it anymore. Emily told Danny's mom to shut up because she didn't know "dick-diddily" about Danny. Emily told Danny's mom about how he was transgender. Linda turned to Danny and started crying. Linda told her husband, Robert, and he lost his shit. He beated Danny, saying that "if you want to be a man, you're going to be treated like a man." Linda called May, Emily's mom about how Emily's best friend was a transgender. May and Linda started crying together.

Not more than 10 minutes later, May picked up Emily to go home. Danny, Linda, and Robert all had a talk.
"Why wouldn't you tell us about this?" Said Robert with tears in his eyes.

"Well...I didn't want to upset you guys...I thought it'd be better if you didn't know I was transgender because of what the church teaches you"

"We are worried about this whole phase you are going through, it isn't healthy because the church teaches us against this."

"But I don't believe in-"

"Don't believe in your body, God, or your family? We think you should move out for a while so you can get your shit figured out."

"Where should I go?"

"We don't care just get out" said Robert furiously

Danny was locked out of the house with the money he had, his phone, some crackers, and a tooth brush. He began walking to Emily's house slowly and with tears in his eyes, as if he was mourning the loss of a friend.
