Chapter Twenty-One

Leo's P.O.V.

"Leave me alone, Rick!"

I look up from the files I was reading on my desk and listened to the commotion.

The door slammed and I heard Kali running into her room. Then I heard a click indicating that she locked it.

What the hell did Rick do to my baby sister? I thought as I stood up from my desk and opened my office door.

Chelsea stood there, looking at the front door with pursed lips.

"Is everything okay?" I asked, walking up to her side.

"I don't know," she said slowly.

"It better be," I said, clenching my fists.

Chelsea sighed and touched my hands.

"I think I need a talk with Rick," I said dangerously.

"Leo, don't. We shouldn't bother their relationship," she said softly.

"She's my little sister! How can I not bother her relationship?"

"I'll just go talk to her, okay? Don't do anything," she warned.

I was about to say something, but I stopped myself from doing so.

"I love you," I said as I pulled her into a hug.

"I love you too," she said into my chest.

I smiled and kissed the top of her head before pulled away.

"So, I'm going to head out for a bit. Is that okay?"

"You're going to go see Rick, huh?" She asked skeptically.

I smiled and she laughed.

"Don't do anything, okay?"

"No promises," I answered.

"I'm serious," she said.

I chuckled and leaned forward to kiss her lips. She smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck. I pulled her in closer and after a few seconds, we pulled back.

"I'll be back later. In the meantime, please help find out what's wrong," I said.

"Promise," she answered before I pecked her lips again.

I grabbed my keys from the table and drove to Rick's house.

Once I got there, I didn't bother to knock. I barged in and grabbed Rick by the collar. Then I pushed him against the wall.

"What the hell did you do to my sister?" I yelled.

"I knew you would show up," he slurred.

"Are yo-are you drunk?"

He nodded and I shoved him against the wall again.

"What the hell, Rick!"

"What?" He drawled.

"What the hell did you do to my sister?"

"Nothing," he answered.

"Bullshit!"

He sighed before answering again.

"I told her that I love her," he said quietly.

I slightly released his collar.

"Then why the hell was she crying?"

"I don't know!"

I pushed him against the wall again.
