Avengers If Loki Won

Chapter 9

Scorpio heard someone walk into the dungeon towards his cell, the others were nearby but Loki had put them far enough away from each other so they couldn’t communicate, Thor wouldn’t say anything anyway though, he had stopped fighting once Jane had been killed. The guards would mock them for their failure but Thor would just stay silent which was unlike him considering what his father, no Loki, had told him. The footsteps stopped and Scorpio looked up and saw Mystique standing outside, she took out a key and unlocked his cell.

          “Get up.” She commanded as she dragged him to his feet.

          “Where are you taking me?” Scorpio asked as he saw the others cast him betrayed looks from their cells.

          “Your father wants answers.”

          Mystique led him to the throne room where his father, no Loki, he corrected himself again, was standing. Loki turned around to look at him and Medea came in with a gold dagger Scorpio had seen Loki use to carry out torture in the past, she stood by Loki’s side and gave Scorpio a cold stare.

          “What did you hope to accomplish by betraying me?” Loki asked quietly.

          Scorpio knew Loki was seething with rage, he just didn’t show it like others would, “You’re cruel. I was trying to protect people from you.”

          Loki glared at him before making his scepter appear and knocking Scorpio to the floor. Scorpio started to get up again but Loki hit him in the ribs with the blunt end of his scepter.

          “Wrong answer. “ Loki hissed. “Now this is your last chance to be loyal to the right side. Will you help me or crawl back to those pathetic Midgardians and Thor?”

          “I’ll never help you again. You killed innocent people; you use them to murder others. You’re no king!”

          Loki kicked him in the ribs causing them to break before walking away. “Medea finish him off.”

          “Yes Father.” She replied and held up the dagger menacingly.

          “Medea… please, don’t… do this.” Scorpio managed to gasp.

          “I never did like you.”

          She stabbed him in the ribs and twisted the knife, he screamed in pain before kicking her legs out from under her. While Medea was regaining her footing Scorpio stood up, using the wall to help, and pulled out the dagger. Medea sent ice at him and pinned Scorpio to the wall, she grabbed her dagger out of his hand and started tracing random lines across his face before making a large gash across his eye. He tried to scream but it came out more like a cough. She continued to stab him, always making sure to just miss anything that would kill him; Scorpio tried to fight back with his magic but the cuff he was wearing prevented him from doing anything to defend himself. Eventually she stopped, Scorpio was barely conscious and had a large pool of blood at his feet, she made the ice disappear and Mystique dragged him back to his cell, making sure the others could see what had happened to him. She dropped him on the ground in his cell and he groaned slightly but was too weak to catch himself.

          “I’ll probably be sent back later for another session.” She sneered before walking off.
