"I'm sorry? He was trying to kill you-"

"It doesn't matter how we treat each other," The little angel stared into the amber eyes of the big demon, seeing the slight confusion as to why he would stick up for him. "But he has done nothing wrong to you. He is a demon, what did you expect from him?" A deep frown arrived on Kaiden's forehead while he continued to stare back. "You are just humans, you have no right to hurt us."

Sally turned her nose up with ignorance, refusing to believe that what she was doing is wrong. She is responsible for putting a very bad name next to the human race.

"Drug the demon and get them out of here," She spoke coldly before pushing the angel towards someone else. The woman didn't want to deal with them if they are trying to make her feel like the villain.

"Get away from me!" Kaiden growled when a man in a heavily compact suit invaded his personal space. His arms were padded with thick cushioning, not wanting to get injured. A long thin needle was held tightly in his grip. His hands were discretely trembling when Kaiden glared with all the anger he could possess.

"Hold his head." Another human placed thick gloves on the side of the demon's face and Kaiden started tugging on the metal chains. They scraped the ground while the angel was pulled through the door. Kaiden caused his wrists to ache as he tried to squeeze his hands out but they were too tight. His skin was cutting and leaving red rashes of friction around the metal.

The human pulled his head to the side, exposing his neck to the big needle that was effortlessly stabbed into his skin. The demon tried to bite the man but whatever he was drugged with knocked him unconscious almost instantly.

"Jesus, I hope we don't have to regret capturing him."

Those eyes, so pure and rich with ambition. The gentle shimmer of emerald green was the brightest thing in the dull and tiny room. The angel had enough space in his chains that he could rub them, feeling worn out from the stress.

His eyes examined the demon who sat too close for comfort. The room they were in suited the size of a cupboard and if he felt claustrophobic, he would have freaked out by now. it was just over a metre and a half wide. Kaiden's legs were on either side of the angel and his feet stopped next to his knees.

He stared at the demons face. His expression was exceptionally calm. There wasn't a fragment of resentful emotions which was rare to witness. The angel found himself examining everything about him that caught his attention.

He wasn't dirty like the usual demon. His hair was clean, as were his skin and clothes. He had a certain scent that could easily become addictive. He seemed to have the time and effort to look after himself. These were odd habits for a demon to consciously think about and it raised some suspicions.

Yet, the angel remained cautious and alert. The demon was close enough to kick him if he woke up and that was unnerving. His big and worn out boots looked like they could cause some damage. He didn't know if he would be able to reach him with his hands. Deciding the length of his chains was difficult.

"please, someone rescue me," He whispered and wrapped his arms around himself. His gaze scaled the bare walls. The emptiness would drive him insane if he didn't have the demon in front of him. Although, he wasn't exactly a sight for sore eyes. Yes, he was ridiculously attractive, but he was an extreme enemy to the angel and the situation frightened him.

nevertheless, he would power through. He might not be physically strong but he was far from weak and would fight for his freedom. He didn't have the capability to give up and accept his fate. His life will always be worth living, even if other angels disagree.

The fact that his mentor abandoned him was appalling. That in itself made the young angel shake from the anger. It wasn't the morals of an angel, it was greedy and selfish. It wasn't possible for him to be taught how to be a respectful angel with a role model like her.

As his mind started to drift towards the unfair laws of heaven, the Demon frowned, instantly bringing his attention back to the present.

His deep scowl felt familiar to him while Kaiden shifted his heavy leg and gently brushed the side of his calf. The angel froze and watched with an attentive stare.

Like last time, Kaiden's head felt heavy as it fell forwards, his mind was left in a mist of groggy emotions. He was sore, achy and exceptionally moody. He roughly groaned and did his best to peel his eyes open.

The first thing he noticed was not the fact that he was trapped in a tiny room, or that he was still chained to a wall with very little energy, it was that he faced an angel.

"You-" He slurred and his vision blurred. His heart thumped around his body, giving him an unbearable headache. Just the sight of something so holy was provoking his demonic mind.

Suddenly, he propelled himself forwards. He was so fast that a simple blink was too slow for the angel. His cognitive thoughts could register the danger, elevating his heart and sending alarming shivers through his body. His breath caught in his throat when the chains dragged against the floor and the demon grew close. His outstretched hand darted forwards but almost like it was planned, the shackles reached their capacity. The angel's wide eyes stared down at the cold fingers, grazing his cheek. That was all the demon could touch apart from his legs.

"Why?" The angel whispered, trying not to be distracted by his uncomfortable contact and the crazed look in his amber eyes. "Why does my life mean so little to you?"

Kaiden clenched his jaw, hating that he wasn't close enough to grip his neck. Yet, the soothing voice of the male angel made him forget about trying to break one of his legs.

"It's just a life. I'm doing my job," He muttered and slumped his back against the wall. Not once did he disconnect their gaze, knowing he could torment the innocent being.

"How can you look with such a shielded mind?" The angel's fingers ran along the cool concrete floor, feeling the dirt and little cracks within the foundations. "If it wasn't your job-"

"Well, it is," He snapped.

The angel pursed his lips together and pulled his knees up to his chest when the demon shuffled his boot closer.

"It's not just a life."

Kaiden scoffed and cracked his knuckles. The sound allowed the angel to shudder, he didn't like that.

"You're not important, you are a pathetic angel. Your mentor quite happily left you for dead."

"You don't know a thing about me." The angel's voice was low while he dared to stare into his strong eyes. He felt like the demon was judging every little thing about him. Yet, he was prepared to show his pride. "My name is Milokan, an angel of honour, self-respect and dignity. You are a demon of failure, you show extreme negligence towards this earth and you are a worthless soul, you mean nothing to nobody."

Kaiden, for only a moment, shined an element of astonishment towards his bold attitude. He has never met an angel who dared to speak to him in such a disrespectful way. He almost respected his courage.

"Well, Milokan," His name rolled off his tongue like it was a sin to even speak it. "You won't have an ounce of dignity when I feed your soul to the Devil."
