i. bask in the colour purple
for every fissure of your soul
screams of how the mighty fall !
start out as a blue star twinkling wild / think of
how beautiful it is to have died / as the
capricious child / refined /
they have you beguiled !
( the blue fades out
you hear them complain and shout,
you became red, no doubt )
blue is relatively young. blue is calm. blue is collected.
red is respected / rejected / resented /
the colour of hell fits you so well /
rebel who fell / yell your farewell /
they lied, patience required
blue is everything cool and
everything you're not !
( — red is temperamental and all that you are )
impulse / respect /
seventh wheel / the spare /
why do you care when they stare?
it's not your fault you're rare
but the truth is out there
ii. blue is your past — the before
while your present is red
it is not your colour
ignore that heart sore
you are more than that !
the world is your palette / red and blue
circumvallate / create a wonderful mix
of purple paint /
( and maybe red is not your colour,
blue was never your future
but purple is simpler
and it will be the one thing you'll remember )
