Juliet's POV
It's been a week mula nung nakalabas ako ng hospital. Tulad ng sinabi ni Yue, we went unwinding. Namasyal kami sa parteng norte.
I enjoyed his company. Naging masaya ako sa ilang araw naming magkasama. Hindi namin napapag usapan ang tungkol kay Vince. I slowly gained back my old cheerful self.
Kelley and Ben are so nice to come with us.
Sinabi ni Kelley sa akin na lumipat na ako ng bahay. She offered her condo to me, sabi nya kasi lalagay na sila sa tahimik ni Ben so dun na sya titira sa bahay nito.
I felt happy for her. I put my house on sale.
Sa loob ng isang linggo, panaka naka ay nakikibalita ako sa office. Nalaman ko mula kay Geneva na nagkabalikan na sila Vince at Maureen. May nakuha na rin na bagong sekretarya. Wala na talaga akong babalikan.
Finally I can move on with my life.
Matapos ang dinner, tumambay kami nila Kelley, Ben at Yue sa labas, sa may bonfire.
May ilan ding bakasyunista na kasama namin na nakapaikot sa paligid ng bonfire. Nagkakantahan, nagsasayawan.
The light and warmth from the fire gave a romantic atmosphere. I don't know if it's because of the air we breathe but I find it a nice night to fall in love.
Yue grabbed my hand at niyaya ako sa beach.
"I will go back to Taiwan two days from now." sabi nya habang naglalakad kami.
Hinawi nya ang buhok na tumatabing sa muka ko dahil sa hangin.
"I wish I can stay with you forever."
I looked at him.
"Then why not?" tanong ko.
He looked amazed when he heard that. "Really? Will you let me?"
Tumango ako at ngumiti.
Ang laki ng ngiti nya habang nakatitig sa mga mata ko. "Say it, baby please. Tell me you want me to be part of your life.."
I felt a little awkward while looking at him but managed to open my mouth anyway. "I want you in my life, Yue"
Nagtatatalon sya sa tuwa. "Yes! Yes!"
Niyakap nya ako ng mahigpit pagkatapos. "I love you, Juliet"
I hugged him back.
"But right now, I can't stay with you. I still have a lot of things to do before I can live here. And I don't think it's gonna be easy to put up a company." he said afterwards. "but don't worry, Ben already made it so it's possible for me too."
"Take your time." sagot ko. "I'm not in a hurry. And besides, long distance relationship isn't that hard as long as we keep our communication open."
"Really?" ngumiti sya. "Then wait for me. I promise to see you every month until I fixed everything and stay with you."
I gently nodded.
He leaned closer to me and gave me a kiss. The cold breeze and the moonlight made the moment more special.
For the mean time I forgotten whose name is written in my heart. I really need somebody to make me feel loved right now. Vince will never be mine. I need to start accepting that reality.
