A day in my shoes

Is not an ordinary day

There is no time to work

There is no time to play

I get up in the morning

Before I go to school

Then I get on the bus

Playing it cool

Walk into the high school

Slowly walking up the hall

Bumping into people

As if I were at the mall

See my friends in the gallery

I'm there all the time

Friendship is priceless

But I don't pay a dime

Running to my class

With only 5 minutes to get there

Burst right through the door

Like a child at a fair

First, they teach me English

And I'm lying on the floor

They try to make me read

But I exit out the door

Then I got to my next class

Learning about religion

Then I think to myself

"What a crazy superstition!"

Then I go to the gym

where they try to make me run

I have tiny little legs

That hardly ever function

Now my least favorite class

It is all about equations

I have a good question

Can I take a few vacations?

Honestly, Science is the bomb

And I ain't talking similes

We're blowing up our people

And they're all across the streets

Music is my life
It's my one and only wife
It is what I like to write
To light the night, that's tight

Then we run to the bus

It is time to go home

But there is one little problem

The bus is already gone

A day in my shoes

Must be a very stressful day

Cause we had to run home

On a very rainy day
