A few days passed and now it was the Fourth of July.

The guys were having a giant party.

Which I had to go to.

It was a pool party, but I didn't have a bathing suit.

I walked downstairs and saw Devyn sitting on the couch with Corey, watching a movie.

"Devyn, after the movie, do you wanna come to the mall with me? I need a new bathing suit." I said.

"Ya!" She said and nodded.

I smiled and went back up to my room.

Devyn and I were at the mall, at some store I forgot the name of.

I finally had some money saved up so I was kinda proud to buy myself something.

"Ooo, this is cute." Devyn said as she held up a florally bikini.

"It is cute, but I don't think I'd look good in it." I replied.

"Come on Riley, you're gorgeous. You look good in anything. Literally you would look good in a trash bag."

I smiled and blushed.

"Thank you. But I still don't want that one."

She groaned and put it back on the rack.

"Do you know what you're looking for?" She asked.

I thought.

"Maybe like a cute one piece?"

She nodded and went over to the one piece section.

"Ooo! This one!" She took a one off of the rack.

It had a lot of fancy cut outs and designs.

"Eh, maybe less flashy?" I replied.

"I gotchu."

She dug thru the rack a little more before picking up a basic, black one piece.

"Ooo!" I said as she handed it to me. I took it and looked at it closer.

It was what I wanted.

Something basic, cute, and would be able to cover my scars and rib cage.

"I'm gonna go try this on."

I went to the dressing room and put it on.

It covered my protruding hipbones and ribcage. It covered the scars that weren't made by me.

It covered the ugliness.

Of course, the bathing suit couldn't cover up everything bad about me, but it did a pretty good job for what it was.

I put my normal clothes back on and walked with Devyn to the cashier.

She bought the first bathing suit she showed me because she thought it was cute.

We drove back home and the guys were already setting up for the party.

I checked the time.

1:22 p.m.

Colby bumped into me as he walked past me.

"Hey, what time is the party starting?" I asked him.
