"Remember what life was like a century ago?" I hear someone whisper after a big round of turbulence knocked me in a coherent state.

"The hiding?" Someone questions.

"Well yes, but I was thinking more about how Theo's changed." I assume Max says.

"I didn't change." I know this voice is his and to the sound of it, he is right next to me.

"Yes, you did." Multiple voice reply at once.

"How?" I hear his response.

"Your whole pack got to the point of being sacred to breathe around humans the wrong way without you inflicting some punishment. You were cruel even to your parents for a period." Max said in a 'duh' tone.

"I wasn't that bad," Theo argues back.

By now, I was almost entirely awake but pretended to be asleep so the conversation would continue.

"One girl at a nail salon talked to a human about having long sharp nails, and you kick her out. She was talking about those one nails that are pointy at the top not claws, but you didn't care." Kyle explained.

"I don't remember that."

"Probably because your wolf and your emotion were out of control. Plus that was the period when things got complicated because of scientific investigations."

"I want to kill the humans that found the tiny percent of the difference between a human's and werewolf's DNA," says Xavier.

"But we got her out of it, and she's one hell of a human," Travis says.

"I remember when I got her in my ranks. I was the biggest dick to her ever, and so was everyone else." The commander says.

"Really? What did you make her do?"

"Anything to make her quit. Hell, Travis and Xavier were her best friends because all I had them do was beat her up, both mentally and physically."

"I remember that we always complained because we got stuck with her for hours and she just came coming back."

"But remember those days she got through the mind games and how she was eventually able to kick my ass. Now those were days I was proud of, but also angry. Because let's be honest, a human beating a warlock and a warrior at their own game is humiliating."

"Those days were funny. I remembered you and Xavier coming to my office mad that she could beat you. Hell, she broke your arm and your nose in that fight!" The commander says while letting out a little chuckle.

"Yeah, I remember, and I bet she does too because that was the day she came determined to beat me. A couple of days before she almost did, my vampire side took over, and I drank her."

"You did what!!"

"Chill dude it was way before you even knew her. Plus, it's not like it hurt. Humans enjoy it thanks to the vein that we produce are fangs."

"I'm a half vampire; I know that. But I think you forgot that it's illegal to bite humans, so maybe after this is over, I will punish you for it."

"Theo, easy up. It's not like you haven't drank from a human before. You did more than that. If I remember right, you killed her."

At that moment I feel my body go stiff a little. Theo's my mate, and he's going to have to bite me soon to claim me, but what happens if he bites me, but doesn't stop?

I mean, hey it's an excellent way to die. If I remember right when Xavier bit me, it was the best high I had ever experienced.

My subconscious thinks back to me.

"I was young then. It was years ago; it won't happen again." Theo says gruffly, and I feel him start to play with my hair. "I would never do that to Aubrie."

"Theo, if I do remember right, you were addicted to it for a while. Remember this was when you rebelled against your parents because of the Humans Act."

"It had nothing to do with the Humans Act."

"Yes, it did. Remember a hundred years ago, when your parents were about to come out to the world, but they met with some world leaders. The same ones that said that humans shouldn't know about us unless they were mated to us, which was not very likely. You said, and I quote, 'Humans are dirt beneath us, why don't we just get rid of them?'"

"Yeah, that was my mindset for a while, but I've changed, just like all you have. If I remember correctly, we had the same opinion on humans. Plus, it doesn't even matter anymore, because I'm in love with one and even if I still had that opinion, I believe she would have changed it."

During the silence that followed, I could feel everyone's eyes turn to look at me. A question ran through my head, at a million miles an hour: 'Do I love him?'

Suddenly, there was turbulence that made me shift in my seat and Theo's arms wrap around me. I opened my eyes and let out a yawn.

"Well, good afternoon, sleepyhead."

"Good afternoon. Are we about to land?"

"Yes, in about twenty minutes," Theo answers.

"Okay, you have my change of clothes, right?"

"Yes," he replies as he stands up and grabs it for me.

"Hurry up; we need to change to." Travis and Xavier call.

"Why?"

"Because we are in formal wear and are going straight to the training field."

"Okay, I'll be quick."

I make my way to the back of the plane and quickly change into my uniform. It feels like a home I've somewhat missed. Without knowing, I've missed saving the lives of those that are the real heroes. I lost the beautiful people, who with their help, we were able to protect lives.

Suddenly, knocking on the door, broke through my thoughts. It told me that the boys had become impatient to wait their turn, and I should get out of there. Opening the door, I quickly make myself relax, pushing the nervousness away. It's time to kick an infection's ass.
