Two left.... this is it.

The three skeletons stood in silence for a few moments.

Ink was the first one to speak.
His voice was low.
"Were are the kids. We had a deal."

Cross shook his head.
"No we don't. I never agreed on it. And besides,"
He glanced over at Error who looked as if he was forcing himself not to attack.
"If I had them, you would just killed me."

He wasn't wrong. That was one of the plans the team came up with.
Plan B actually. Kill him if he gets violent or doesn't agree.
Plan A, knock him out and take the kids, wasn't going to work now either.
And C... that was if Cross didn't show up.

Ink didn't plan for something like this.
He stepped forward.
"So. How is this exchange going to work?"

Cross stared at him, almost demanding.
"Give nightmare to me. And I'll tell you the location of the kids."

Ink glanced over his shoulder at Error.

Error truly didn't give to shits on how he got Color back.
Even if it meant releasing a large threat to the multiverse.
Error could handle nightmare.
And the other two kids.
He really wouldn't mind killing them if that's what it took to have his child back.
He knew the other parents would do the same.
Horror and fell for sure.
Lust would probably hesitate but Sci definitely would.

His thoughts were interrupted by Inks voice.
Quiet and soft he answered Cross.

"No."

Error stared at him.

Cross growled; taking a step forward he hissed.
"Then the kids die!"
Error tended up at that statement... no, not a statement, more of a fact.
Error could see how serious Cross was when he said that.

He needed to do something.

"This was not in the deal I offered you. And besides, three kids over the safety of the multiverse is complete insanity. So no."
Ink then turned and walked away.

But before he could grab his brush to make a portal, he was suddenly paralyzed.
He gasped as his body was raised in the air by rather familiar blue wires.

"Error what are you doing?"
Ink hissed.

Error remained silent as he approached ink.
Ink seemed to realize what he was going to do and began fighting against the string.
Cross watched almost frightened by his sudden attack on the creator.

Error stepped forward.
He ignored inks struggling body and hateful curses as quickly began his search.

Pencils, pins, brushes and even a sketch book fell to the floor.

After a minute Error finally found his prize.

A small glass sphere.
In the very middle was a pitch black cloud of smoke.
The magic crying for its release.

"ERROR!!!! NO, STOP!!!!"
Ink screamed.
His legs kicking desperately.

Error didn't listen.
He walked up to Cross, DETERMINATION coming off him in waves.

Cross stood trying not to shake as the destroyer now stood in front of him.

Error calmly spoke.
"Break this to release Nightmare. I suggest doing it somewhere ink can't get to."
He presented the orb to Cross.
But when he reached to grab it, Error pulled away.
"First. Tell me where my baby is."

Cross seemed to hesitate. Not knowing if it was a trick or not.
But the story the others told him.
He had to trust him.
"There... there in Outertale..."
He murmured.

Seconds after Error handed him the orb and grabbed the front of his shirt.
Error growled deeply.
"Never mess with my family again."

With that he let Cross go and opened a portal to Outertale.

Cross instantly teleported away as Ink fell to the floor.

Ink sat up slowly.
Staring blankly at the ground he murmured.

"What have you done..."
