A grim morning delivered an ambience far from benign, painting an achromatic sky above. Coarse hordes of clouds billowed out like the smoke of a dragons breath.
Orbs of a wild aura gazed upon such dismal beauty. These eyes belonged to a body in adolescence, trapped behind a pane of glass.
The mechanical rumbling of the vehicle came to a brusque end as it did. "Piper" a voice spoke in an affable tone yet both stern and smooth at the same time.
It did not align to the young female who sat by the window, it reflected an older individual.
Only subtly startled by the familiar voice the girl craned her neck, averting her attention back inside of the car. Pupils dilating to adjust to the dinner lighting, her gaze fell up to the one fallen on her. Though no words were spoken, her whole body sat in questioning. Head cocked to at an angle.
Obviously not waiting on a verbal response the voice spoke once again.
"First day, new Start, people only know as much as you tell them, they don't need to know everything about you. No one has any interest in treasuring a story if everyone knows it" the words rolled off her tongue like honey; clot, not even to alleviate the pressure, plainly decorous, conforming to the social standards of a motherly figure. The only response that came from the slightly lecturing advice was the devoid, desolate aura that dispelled any glimmer of respect or slight interest the girl had for her mothers words. Holding her tongue tight between her teeth to prevent any petulant retaliation, the younger female diverted her gaze down, trying to come up with a suitable response. Only releasing her tongue for a brief moment the girl unveiled a courteous smile, realigning her gazed for enough time for it to seem honest. A slow nod to prove her understanding to top of the act before retiring her gaze to where it originally laid. Now facing the window once more, the conceal act was dropped, the smile something of the past, an empty expression now rested as her arm reached out, hand clasping onto the handle. Upon pushing the door open and climbing out, a final four words caught her ear although they were quiet "have a good day" the mother beamed, only to receive the reply of a slightly belligerent slam of the car door
