"I hate to be the one to bring this up but how are things with you and Trey? I didn't hear what happened but your little talk while we were at the house seemed really tense," Kim asked after taking a huge bite of her pepperoni pizza. Demi really didn't mean to but she couldn't help but to grimace. Even though she had gotten cheese there were still only three things on her mind: carbs, grease, and fat.

"I don't know," Demi shrugged because she really didn't know. They hadn't talked since their awkward conversation yesterday and Demi was dying to know what he was going to do tonight since they clearly weren't going to be together but she also wasn't about to suck up her pride to find out.

"What about Dianna? Has anything happened since your confrontation at the house?"

"She cancelled a few of her interviews but Kelsey said she still has book signings and stuff. I don't know. I don't care." Demi watched Kim take another bite of her pizza and tried to reach for her own, but she just couldn't stomach it. One bite and she would probably throw up everything that she hadn't eaten all over the floor.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You just did."

"You are so much like Kylie it is insanely annoying," Kim huffed as she kicked her shin with a Yeezy covered foot.

"Anyway, what is with you and food?"

"What do you mean?"

"Demi, you have the weirdest relationship with food. Has no one ever told you this before?" Kim clarified, even though Demi knew exactly what she was talking about.

Her relationship with food was something that people always noticed but never wanted to bring up. The only people who really called her out on it was Trey, sometimes Kris, and even Eddie when he was feeling bold. But Demi didn't know how to describe it. She didn't want to be cliché and say it's how she had always been, but it really was how she had always been. Some days she was fine with food. She could eat anything and not feel any guilt or feel bad about herself or worry about her calorie intake. But some days, more often than not, she cut her food into diagonals and chewed for eleven seconds. She cut up everything on her plate and separated it into vegetables and meat then mixed everything back together to make it look like she had eaten something. And these weren't just things she had come up with on her own. It was from watching women in her own family do it, especially her mother.

"I don't really want to talk about it," Demi muttered as she pushed her plate away, like a two-year-old who had just been served broccoli.

"I don't want to pry but is this why you seem to have this really deep resentment towards Dianna?" Kim questioned. Demi nodded but she didn't say anything else. Kim would come up with her own theory and probably be right. She usually was.
