So I've decided to an update today, because I have two more stories ^^ The first story was inspired by a contest I did on another site. Without further adue, I give you the first story of two.
Talking cats and the sudden Apocalypse.
"Wake up stupid human..." Was the first thing I heard Monday morning. I groaned, vaguely aware of something furry sitting on my face. It was my day off, and it was way too early for my likings.
Either way, I unwillingly opened my eyes, staring into the face of my three year old cat Sparky, who's face was millimetres away from my own. My first thought, or action in this case was to leap up from my bed in shock, and glare. Sparky, who had landed unceremoniously on the bed glared back.
"Not the reaction I was looking for but at least your awake..." A voice said. I glanced around for it, freaked out that there was someone in my room. Minutes later, I was aware that the only thing breathing in this room besides my self, was Sparky.
I stared at her like she had sprouted tentacles and was waltzing with a dog whilst singing old classics. A cat-like chuckle followed, and she looked up at me.
"Took you long enough." She said, flicking her tail in irritation. Shock, quickly turned to anger. A question suddenly leaped off my tongue.
"If you could speak, why have't you done so before?" I demanded, thinking about the times where Sparky found it fun to mess around on my interview day.
"Because, before there was no apocalypse approaching the world. The only reason you can hear me is because you are a partial key in this, and when the Apocalypse began getting ready, your ... powers were awakened." Sparky said, trying to explain the situation.
Unfortunately, I was still stuck at Apocalypse. My mouth hit the floor and I stared at Sparky in disbelief.
"Apocalypse, are you fudging kidding me?!" I yelled, Sparky flinching back at my sudden anger. I frowned, but calmed myself for her sake.
"If what you say is true, why now? And what do I have to do with an Apocalypse?!" I asked, growing frustrated once again. Despite the situation, amusement shun in Sparky's feline eyes.
"Hush human, all shall be answered soon. Just hurry up and change." Sparky said, before lithely leaping off the bed and disappearing outside the door. I grumbled a few curses and stumbled out my bed, throwing on a pair of old jeans, a short sleeved white shirt and my favourite pair of Nike trainers. I threw on a warm jacket, and yanked a brush through my untamed, wild hair on the way out the door.
Once I was sure my hair was knot free, I chucked the brush onto a table and glanced in the mirror. I wasn't a self centred person, far from it in fact but that doesn't mean I don't like looking nice. My crimson hair flowed down in gentle waves just past my shoulder, and due to my pale complexion make up was not needed.
I zipped my jacket up, and followed Sparky throughout the two story house towards the front door. I went to open it, but gasped in surprise when Sparky walked through the solid door. I blinked.
Feeling rather numb about this whole situation, I opened the door and walked out, locking it behind me as I followed Sparky down the road.
Minutes passed, and I grew lost inside my hectic thoughts, somehow still following Sparky. I was, however jolted out of my mind when I had successfully walked into a large, ominous wooden door. I glanced around, the area not familiar. I suppressed a shudder and opened the door, walking inside only to be greeted by the sight of five abnormally beautiful men and woman. They sat, their posture giving of a regal effect. Their faces gave of the vibe that they were better than everyone else, and weren't afraid to say it. I took an instant dislike to them.
