Hi guys! Sorry for the day late update, I've been busy finishing off my last sets of assignments for school before I get a two-week + one day holiday which starts on Friday!

Shattered pieces of glasses laid near her feet, pieces that once were joined were now separated; disconnected. She stared into space, her mind in a complete daze. She'd stuff herself in the corner, her knees to her chest as she wrapped her arms around them. For the first time in a while, instead of feeling sad, she felt calm. She'd only been here for a short amount of time and debated whether or not to return to that rowdy class.

Thoughts of Zero and Yuki had completely disappeared as if someone had granted her a wish.

The platinum-haired girl pushed herself up from the corner just as the broken pieces of the mirror raised one by one. They danced around each other and eventually was dancing on the air. With a gentle flick of a wrist, those shattered pieces found their homes back on the frame of the mirror. What's all that is left of the mirror is its cracks.

As she looked at her reflection, she noticed a streak of brown under the curtain of her platinum hair and she curiously touched it. Shaking her head, Emiko dismissed the questioning thought that appeared in her mind and tucked the piece of her brown hair under her platinum hair, hoping it would go unnoticed.

With an exhale, Emiko turned and pushed open the door of the bathroom, heading down the hallway to return to her class.

It didn't take long to make a right turn into her classroom. She ignored all the stares she received as she quietly climbed the stairs towards her seat. With a glance from a certain Pureblood, Emiko unconsciously touched her hair to make sure that the streak of brown hair was well hidden before facing her back towards him.

She quietly sighed in relief when she realised both Zero and Yuki were no longer under the tree where she could see them from the fourth floor. She decided to turn back to lecturer who stumbled on his words and started focusing her attention on him.

Two hours later, class was finally finished. Students broke out into their laughter and chattering the moment the lecturer dismissed them. Some stood up to exit the classes while the others took their time fixing their hair, uniform or gathering their books as they chatted with their friends.

Emiko stood from her bench seat and shuffled out so that she was free from the cramped space between the bench and the table. She patted down her clothing for dust just as footsteps drew near her. She didn't have to turn to find who it was, after all there was only one person who emitted a strong presence.

"Where did you disappear off to?" Kaname asked as he neared her and decided to lean against the edge of the bench seat near her with his usual green book tucked underneath his arms.

She swallowed and glanced at the male Pureblood, smiling softly, she answered. "I just needed a small break." It wasn't a lie nor was it the full truth in which case she decided twist the question around and answer differently. She didn't want Kaname to know she had a childish nightmare for him to worry.

Kaname stared at her in reply, his dark eyes were as if it was looking through her soul like they were searching for something. Even with that, Emiko's smile remained on her face as if nothing had ever happened and she dared to keep that expression on her face until he looked away.

When he couldn't find anything, he sighed inwardly in defeat. He knew not to push the truth out of her and had the impression she would tell him when she's ready. Emiko's smile couldn't help but grow wider, what she liked about him most was that he was understanding.

He pushed his lean body up from the bench and walked past her, not glancing back as he beckoned her to follow. "Come along. You have a certain dress awaiting you for tonight, don't you?"

With that, Emiko happily followed after him with a smile that remained on her face.

"Alice, if you don't hurry we will arrive late." The dark-haired Pureblood called, securing a golden watch around his left wrist before fixing the tie around his neck.

The moment they returned to their dorms, he made sure he delivered his gift right into the palm of her hands and immediately told her to get ready.

It was Takuma's birthday party tonight and with him being one of Kaname's close friend and right hand man, he refused to be late. The blonde Aristocrat with the forest-green eyes had invited the entire academy to attend. He remembered the excited glint in his eyes and it clearly showed Kaname that the boy couldn't contain his excitement no matter how much he tried.

"I'm ready." A muffled voice declared from inside the room just as the wooden oak doors pushed open. Kaname made sure to take a step back to swiftly dodge the flipping of the door.

His straight and stoic expression was replaced by his widened his dark-chocolate eyes. There, in which stood in front of him, was a girl he almost didn't recognise. Alice's hair was no longer sleek and straight, but it curled at the ends and had volume. Her eyes long, thick eyelashes complimented her mismatched eyes and her lips were a rosy colour.

Her dark-red dress hugged her upper figure before flowing out around her waist area and rested above her knees. To match with the dress she wore white thick heels that strapped her ankles. It was to Kaname's satisfaction, the dark-red dress really did bring out the complexion of her milky skin.

He approached her and extended his left arm. She stared at it for a moment before gently taking hold of it and was lead away to the final destination of the day.

Emiko felt a bit nervous the moment she passed through two large doors. Her skin crawled at the amount of stares she received but she made sure to keep her posture remaining straight and acted as though the stares did not affect her. As Kaname lead her towards their designated seats, she couldn't help but glance around to find a certain silver-haired boy. She had heard the both prefects were to be present during the party to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Disappointment filled her when she realised Zero was no where to be seen. Of course he wouldn't be here, she knew he hated parties after all.

She sat beside Kaname with thoughts circling her mind. Even despite the fact he hated parties she still searched for him and then for some reason, she looked up to the second floor where a few gathered to look over the party. Her eyes met with a lilac pair who returned her gaze. He was leaning on the railing looking ever so bored. She looked upon his attire and seeing him in a suit made her dead heart race.

He placed his chin in his hands and held a gentle look in his eyes as he focus his attention on her.

One thing she noticed was that he was mouthing something to her and when she got a clearer look she realised. Her cheeks redden in heat.

'You're beautiful, Emiko.' He said.
