He's unbelievably grateful for everything they've accomplished. For everything they have together. For their friendship. For a lot of things.
But he's most grateful for the respect they have for one another. The way they all strive to lift each other up, to encourage.
They know how important this is to him. So they always give him his time to shine. He's never felt that he had to put this other love to the side for them.
And when he takes his seat and raises the bow to the strings, for those few minutes it's just him and the crowd.
