|Clare-Rose's pov|
"He's looking at you again," Carlie informed but I already knew.
"Every guy in this cafeteria is looking at her," Stuart so happily pointed out.
"But it's not like it's her fault that they stare," Sharon began to defend Carlie, "she's a gorgeous girl."
"Yeah, it's like it was my fault for being born!" I muttered sarcastically while I rolled my eyes.
I swiftly snatched most of Stuart's fries when he got distracted by Olive Divine, the school's number one slut.
She was a beautiful girl with a nice body. Olive had long, voluminous blonde hair; Crystal clear eyes and luscious lips. She was taller than most girls at this school, but not as tall as the boys though.
I jumped in surprise when I heard his voice. "Hey, Star." After three years of being together and two months of breaking up and disappearing; he is still alive?
"H-hey..." I drew out awkwardly.
"How is the new school year treating you?" He asked, oh so casually while digging his hands into his black, jeans pockets.
"Good?" I narrowed my eyes at him. "What do you want, Gustavo?"
"Nothing, it's just that we haven't talked for awhile now."
My friends and I share the same curious look. "That's because you've been avoiding me ever since the breakup."
"Oh... Right. I hope you didn't harbor any hatred towards me..."
"Oh no!" I exclaimed but not too loud, to cut him off. "I don't harbor feelings for people who I find that are insignificant in my life," I told him honestly.
I heard Stuart snicker as Gustavo awkwardly said goodbye and strode off.
"Well that was..." Sharon trailed off not finding a word to describe the situation.
'Petty? Or maybe downright pathetic?' Stuart figured in his thought. I nearly burst into a fit of laughter.
After spending the entire lunch session talking and receiving a lot of homework from my last class period, I was walking home from school when I smelt it.
A very, very strong scent of chocolate blended with an unfamiliar cologne. It was so delicious! So... Sweet.
I licked my dry lips as I walked voluntarily towards the scent. I stopped at the sold house that was next to mine.
"New neighbour," I mumbled to myself and decided to go home.
"Auntie, I'm home!" I announced as soon as I stepped inside the house.
"Star, please come into the living room."
I hung up my bag on the coat rack inside the coat room, next the entrance hall. I walked further down the hall and made a right, into the living room.
I found my Auntie on a chair in front of the fireplace. Fear quickly overtook me.
"Auntie Carolyn, you get down right now," I ordered as I quickly walked over to her. "You're going to hurt the baby, she's not ready for pain yet."
