What I Now Know

We are each a sponge, absorbing knowledge and experience to get bigger and fuller until everything we know pours out to let others soak up.
Whether it be important or not will never truly matter, for anything can be useful or useless.
The things I now know are helpful, useless, irritating, and calming.
What I now know is my knowledge, my experience, my choice, my life.
I now know not to eat yellow snow from the ground,
I now know going to the bathroom is a group project for girls,
I now know Netflix and chill does not mean just watching Netflix and chilling,
I now know you have to be blunt with guys for the sake of them understanding even the smallest of matters,
I now know siblings are the most annoying and loving friends a person can have,
I now know the pillars at school are not meant to be drawn on,
I now know some cats act like dogs,
I now know some dogs think they are cats,
I now know that being popular does not mean being snobby,
I now know even the prettiest of roses can have the sharpest of thorns,
I now know that life isn't a piece of cake, it's a whole bakery,
And I finally realized that pain is just another part of life that no one, not me or anyone else, can get away from because we are sponges absorbing the smallest of pleasures and the harshest of pains.
