"Don't be shy Hoseok, come say hi!" The boys mom said softly to the small child hiding behind her. The boy looked rather small, seemingly at least 2 years younger than me. I was 10, and he was probebly 7 or 8. The sheepish boy edged his way from behind his mom and smiled.
"Hoseoks got quite alot of confidence issues... He's really shy when meeting new people. But when you get to know him, he'll never shut up!" She explained giggling, gently pushing him forwards, closer to me and my mom.
"Come on Hoseok, go and introduce yourself to Seokjin, just as you practiced." My mom said warmly. The boy took a large step forwards, and put out his hand gesturing for me to shake it. And I gladly did so.
"Hello. My name is Hoseok. I am 8 years old. I like to sing and dance." He said taking breaths in between sentences, the way he said it didn't sound natural, almost like he was reading a script. I could tell he was really nervous.
"Nice to meet you, and I suppose that you know my name is Seokjin?" I chucked and he nodded in a cute manner.
This would be a nice beginning to a good friendship.
