You traced the pirate's symbol on your wrist, swigging down more rum. The burning liquid ran down your throat, making you cringe and shake you head. You were still thinking of your mother, who was probably miles away by now, for she had decided to leave you and start a new life. Your father had died two years ago from Barbosca, the filthy son of a-

"Ma'am? We're closed," the bartender said for the fifth time. You rolled your eyes and placed you hat on your head. It was a great set of clothes that your mother had bought you before she had left, and you treasured it. (Pick one;)

As you snatched up the half empty bottle, you stomped outside, where the warmth of the sun greeted you. Deciding to head to the docks, you made your way towards them, where you spotted Will Turner. You took your sword from your belt and tapped it lightly as you snuck up behind him. But he was the one who had trained you, and he jumped to his feet, placing the tip of his own sword to your neck,

"Nice try Y/N. I thought I-" when he glanced down at your dress, you took the opportunity to flip over him, poking the weapon into his back. He slowly turned his head, raising his hands up above his head. You giggled and whispered against his ear,

"You were sayin'?" You lowered your sword and shook your head, gazing off into the distance where the waves splashed on the sandy shore. Palm trees danced in the soft breeze and parrots squaked nearby. Will walked to your side and heaved a sigh,

"Are you worried?" The question was predictable, but it made your heart skip a beat,

"Of course." Will placed a hand on your shoulder and smiled,

"It's gonna be fine. If I know her daughter, then I know she can handle herself." You leaned your head against him and nodded, tears sliding down your cheeks. It was pointless trying to hide your feelings with Will because he would always be there to comfort you no matter what. There was a hard thump and you shot your head up to see a man with dreadlocks.

"Do forgive me. I was wonderin' if there's anywhere I could get me some rum," his voice was quite deep, and it defibetly went with his style. He had a red bandana wrapped around his head, a hat on top, two guns hopked to his belt, and a cantine that was dangling beside a pack. You stood up straight,

"The bar just closed." You shrugged and handed him your last bottle. He quickly gulped it down and wiped his lips with the back of his sleeve. Then a sudden thought occured to you,

"You're...you're...Captain Jack Sparrow." You gaped and closed your mouth. He raised an eyebrow,

"Aye, so I am indeed. And I'm glad you called me Captain, but in case you missed it, my hip just sunk and I'm here to st-erm-purchase another. Do I know you?" You frowned and shook your head. In fact, you had only heard of the stories that your mother used to tell,

"My...mother was in a crew with you. Emily. Emily L/N." Jack rubbed his bward and gazed off into the distance,

"Emily...Emily...Oh, Emily! Doesn't ring a bell. Well, best be off. Thank you for the rum by the way." You smiled and watched as he walked off, his arms swinging at his sides. Will nudged you and you tore your eyes from Jack,

"He seemed to like you." Rolling your eyes, you shoved him into the water, and you spotted Jack making his way to two soldiers. That was probably a stupid choice, so you casually left Will and sprinted after him, knowing by the tales, that he was he kind of guy that got into trouble. You didn't want to miss any of that.
