"You what!" My friend Mica almost yelled.

I shushed her looking around hoping that she hadn't drawn too many eyes to us. I only found a few but they didn't linger before going back to their laptops or lunch. Turning back I was smiling at her outburst but wanting to contain it. I swatted at her telling her to shut up before crossing my legs and stirring my iced drink.

"Oh my god, are you fucking serious?" She continued. "You fucking with me right now. You did not meet Shawn Mendes on the fucking street!"

Her voice had gone high again at the end of her sentence and she was almost squealing. I sat closer to her on the green cubed chairs and touched her arm because honestly, I was just as excited as her.

"I did!" I smiled with glee. "And not only that..."

I reached for my phone and pulled it up smiling. "I had to take a screenshot because of the stupid notifications but yeah."

I handed her the phone and she looked down pushing back her hair as she did. I watched her eyes flicker over the screen and then her face shot up, eyes wild.

"Are you kidding me?" She said again much too loud.

"No!" I laughed.

She began to slap her hand on her knee, clearly freaking out and I was too only I'd done it at home alone the day before. Mica began to make indistinguishable noises before failing her arms.

"Oh my god! Oh my god, okay, okay go back tell me everything."

So I did. I told her beginning to end, the whole story leaving nothing out and she was on the edge of her seat just as much as I.

"Holy shit." She said her eyes so bright and interest. "So he follows you now! Oh my god, wait so like has anything happened since?"

I shook my head in a no.

"Liked any of your pictures?"

Shook my head again.

"So nothing?"

"Nothing. The only thing that has happened is that followers are coming in like a lot now, but that's it. "

She shook her head at me as it came forwards in bafflement. "Well, you should do something!"

"Like what?" I asked critically.

"I don't know! Something! Message him or something!"

I shook my head. 'No, that's weird. I mean I thought about it, of course, but he didn't follow me for that. I think he just liked the pictures. If I message him it's weird..."

She didn't think it was, but I disagreed. Even if I did message him directly there was no saying he'd ever see it.

"Post something instead!" She suggested. "Have you posted recently?"

"I liked the building, not you."Where stories live. Discover now
