"Is this a new book?" Gemma reaches for Tuesday's at the Chapel. Harry nodded and sat down in front of her.
"It's a pretty good read." He mumbles while looking at the almost torn book.
"Well I'll check it out sometime." Gemma smiles.
"Well you better get going. I have to get ready and move on to my next gig. Is across town as some little joint? I don't know but they're paying me $500 and I'll be there for a while." Harry said while standing up. He still needed a shower since he didn't take one this morning like he promised.
"Well I expect you to meet Ashton sometime soon. And Mum said you need to come see her sometime soon or she'll make her way up here." Gemma walked towards the door as Harry followed her.
"Ah yes, she needs to see her disappointment again just to check if he's still her disappointment." Harry shook his head and Gemma gave him a small smile.
"She's not disappointed in you Bub, she just doesn't understand why you didn't make yourself a better future than.. this." Gemma looked around his dusty apartment and then pulls him into a hug.
"You're still her son and she'll always love you. You know that."
"Tell her I'll stop by this weekend. And tell her I'm bringing a friend." Gemma steps out onto the porch and nods at him. She takes a mental note to tell her mum though she's never been good at that
"I will. I love you and be careful." Gemma says while waving at him.
"I love you too Gem." He says while closing the door. Harry makes his way to his room and places Tuesday's at the Chapel on his desk. He wasn't quite sure why they named the book that since they have never been in the Chapel.
Harry jumps in the shower and the let's the hot water soak over his body. He steps out of the shower and wraps a towel around his waste.
He changes his thoughts to what he's gonna wear. He knows this bar is a bit more fancier then he's use to so his clothes have to match. After searching through a pile of shirts he couldn't find one black button up.
Harry reached for a box on the top of his shelf and pulls out an old black button up from two years ago. He feels almost immediately distraught as he picks it up. The last time Harry had worn this shirt was at his dad's funeral.
Harry never planned to wear it again but he could never bring himself to throw it away. He slipped it on and buttoned it up, noticing how it still fit. He grabbed his guitar and caught the first taxi that passed his apartment.
"West Burlock, Soul of Satin bar please." He said while giving the man a fifty and telling him to keep the change. The sun was barely setting and Harry couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed knowing he had to please the crowd in order to get enough pay for this months rent.
He talked in his thoughts, asking whoever could hear him to please let him have a good night. He's had a few times where he's had to walk off stage and he prayed tonight he wouldn't have too.
The cab driver pulled up to the steps of the bar. Harry tossed his guitar over his shoulder and marched up the steps. Just before he stepped inside his phone went off.
