me: you'll be okay, i promise.
him: what if i don't pass?
me: we stayed up for days, cooper. you're going to do fine.
him: what if 'fine' isn't good enough?
me: cooper. look at me.
him: but -
me: once we get to school, you're going to get in there and do fantabulously! then you'll come out and i'll be here waiting and ready to drive us to the park - where we will play like small children all over the jungle gym.
him: how can you know that?
me: i have this.
him: a cd?
me: not just any cd.
him: what is it?
me: i'm putting it in now.
him: ...
me: this is what we have, cooper.
him: ...
me: the power of journey!
him: ...
me: just a small town girl -
him: living in a lonely world!
him + i:: she took the mid-night train going anywhereeeee!
[ three minutes later ]
him: thank you princess, i needed that.
me: i know. good luck! i'll be waiting here until you're done. singing for you, with the power of journey.
